I called this number and there is virtually nothing they can do. So don't waste your time and money calling them. You will need at least a UCI for them to get talking.

u can call and get ur UCI by giving them your surname, dob n country of origin. I did that 10 mins ago and got my UCI.

Yes all files get UCI as far as i read..

but don't b so pessimistic .. hopefully u wil receive ur PER this week

No. It means your application has been opened. Now they will check if it is complete or not They are working on your application and you will know the result soon . Same as me.. Good Luck !

I wanted to share a specific bit of our experience that may be helpful to others as per replies posted a few pages back. IT IS OK TO SEND ONLY A WES ECA FOR AN MSC DEGREE. This is how we did it and we got our PER. So if you are applying for a "cool" NOC, or already applied for a hot NOC and only sent an MSc ECA report, rest assured that it's OK, no need to rush and get a bachelor's ECA as well.

We sent it so the fictitious example of "Deng" from the CIC Guide.

And mentioned so in our cover letter.
