Yep totally agree.... if you notice in the instructions after the first round check and all documents are complete they will stamp and have it in their system.... this is prior to payment and PER .... so i beleive the update is based on thier tracking of number of applications in the system.....
The instructions this round is dif... we can only follow so much from the prior years.... things are dif this year

U got me there "after the first round check and all documents are complete they will stamp and have it in their system" Are u referring to UCI and saying they'll do preliminary check on completeness and then issue the UCI, but wait for encashment to issue PER ? Or UCI is just any number (Serial Number) they issue Prior to completeness check ?

My consultant is based out of canada and he confirmed to me that he has not had the application back.

i am 4/06 applicant.

Dont want to hurt anyones feeling but did people who got there applications back had a UCI no. Marta i hope you wont mind answering this for me.

I just dialed 16139444000-- IVR 1-1-2-1-2-1 for my UCI...After 20mins of wait all i got to hear was you need to call the office where you submitted your application and this line is only for people applying from inside canada.

Is there any other number? can anyone share?


am a 31 May applicant, feeling nervous.. i have already bitten all my nails..CIC better provide some update or i ll have to start with biting fingers tomorrow onwards..!!

I am still waiting...I called up the CIC call center but they said i need to call some other office..!!

You need to tell them that you want to know if they have your file.
