Relax... it is too early for you to call now.
Your application has reached on 21st June 2013. They haven't finished processing May Applicants yet.

But I found in this forum that few of the June applicant got their UCI over phone...
Out of curiosity I wanna to confirm ..whether i will be within the cap or not...

few Questions on your post

1. This year those who got their application returned, have red tick marks on their application forms ( like RAJ)
so last year , Was your package also marked with such tick marks ?

2. Did you write in your envelope "NOC category XXXX" when you sent the application last year
If that has not been the case I guess , they would have still opened your package, even if the application has reached after the cap limit , because then they could think you of arranged employment category and later realized that you were not so , included explanation letter ?

3. How long does it took for your application package to reach you? I meant approximate date, if you remember ?

Dear Pitabisit,

As per my understanding, CIC update (complete application received by CIC) represent total number of application opened for Assessing the application against Ministerial Instructions after Completeness check upon receipt. They do not count total received application for this update.

My above said understanding is based on my current and last year experience, here are the points which can justify my above understanding:

1. My complete file was delivered to CIO last year on 1st may 2012 and opened for Completeness check on 03 May 2013. Total overall Cap was reached on 08th may 2012, (second last update was on 28th April in which only 78 application was left towards overall Cap reach.) but the received letter explaining the Cap reached is of 21 May 2012 which means my file was opened for Assessing against Ministerial Instructions just before or on 21st May 2012.

2. And this year, many applicants (including some June- July applicants) got their file back just because their file was incomplete or incorrect and therefore couldn't crossed the Completeness check stage. And those who crossed the Completeness check are placed in the long queue for getting assess against Ministerial Instructions.

Now, for example Current updated for NOC 1112 is 278, that means there will only 22 more application out of long queue which will be proceed for Assessing the application against Ministerial Instructions rest would be return back due to cap reach.

In Short, Cap update don't represent total number of received application, it represent the number of application opened for Assessing the application against Ministerial Instructions (All these application get their PER/NER and get charged for processing).

This is just my view, experts please correct if it there is something wrong.

My consultant is based out of canada and he confirmed to me that he has not had the application back.

i am 4/06 applicant.

Dont want to hurt anyones feeling but did people who got there applications back had a UCI no. Marta i hope you wont mind answering this for me.

I called CIC yesterday and got an email from them (a reply to my email i sent them 3 weeks ago) just now. They do NOT have my file on their system yet. So that pretty much means its a waiting game with all fingers crossed.

Just keep calm n hope for the best.

I advised my bank that it was coming so they could put a "positive" note on file in case it came up for query. It worked, but probably would have worked anyway.

I called cic. A nice lady gave me Client ID. I checked it online but found no information. Then I checked it over the phone. I got reply that my application was received in 2008. . I remembered that it was my first application that I sent to cic. I called again at the same number and told the agent that I need some information for my current application which was received by cic on may 31st, 2013. He took my information, checked in the system and told me that he cannot find any information for my application for this year and advised me to send cic an email and wait for their reply.

My NOC is 2147.
