Just to make clear things up. When you arrange your documents, do it like this:

- Complete the CIO checklist. Leave the #12 for now (This is the Manila VO specific, and it mentioned copy).
- Then, complete your Manila VO documents needed. Huwag mo na isama yung mga nandun sa CIO checklist. like yung mga forms, and yung passport ng principal.
- After that, photocopy mo lahat nung nasa Manila VO docs mo.
- Then, ilagay mo sa likod nung CIO documents, yung Manila VO checklist, and yung mga photocopy mo, from the previous step.
- Lastly, send to CIO.

Tama ba Karen? can you confirm? Thanks.

yup thats what I have understood pero MAdami pang debates ngayon about the COPY thing issue sa visa office checklist because its a new policy but if I were to asked I will play safe. ill give notarized copies and certified true copies for the items that are not clearly stated sa checklist. Kindly gather more informations from the experts kase nga bawal magkamali sa stage na ito because the CIO is very strict. They can easily return your application and may quota na 1,000 per noc category per year. ANd its a first come first serve basis. Follow the thread of those people who already submitted their application to CIO after June 26, 2010. Goodluck to all of us

you can submit that if you are on the stage of submission of docs to CEM .... but after the medicals, embassy will send you an email or or passport request dun naka specify na MRP ang required. Since mahirap mag pa isked sa DFA for renewal; after submission of docs to CEM apply na for renewal sa DFA.

I see. Thank you. Is DFA allowing us to renew our passports even if its not yet expired?

yes, renew it after sending the requirements to CEM. It will take 2 months to get a schedule sa DFA...

Hi Karen Chu.

I just want to ask why are you referring to the new rules (after June 26, 2010) considering that it appears that you applied to CIO-Sydney in April, 2010. Does it have something to do with your receipt of your AOR only in July, 2010 ? Sorry, I get confused with the rules eh. Sabi kasi sa April applicant thread, that if your application to CIO was received prior to June 26, 2010, the former rule applies. So I am looking at your queries all the time, and the corresponding responses, of course. ;D I am also preparing the docs to be submitted to VO-Manila.

Also, sa passport, I think I have read the machine-readable passport in the old instructions (pre June 26, 2010 rules). We also submitted the photocopy of the green passport but I think I have read that once the VO-Manila asks for the passport for the PR visa, the machine readable should be the one submitted or filed. Now, I don't see that in the new instructions (both for CIO and VO-Manila instructions).

Hay! Sana ma-enlighten na tayo ng mga seniors so that we can prepare na accordingly. ;D

Thanks thanks.

Congrats to all who received their visa!

I just want to ask kung need pa change ng passport ang husband ko. He's the principal applicant, 2012 pa expired ng passport nya. Pero dapat ba palitan ng machine readable passport yung sa kanya bago kami mag submit ng full documents end of August?

Can anybody give me advice about previous employment, it's been 20 yrs ago and I don't have any documents to attached, bale close na yung company. How can I provide cert. of employment, puede ba letter lang na notarized?

mas maganda sana kung machine readable na. kung sarado na ang company, gawa ka nalang ng affidavit na sarado na nga ang company.

heres my opinion sa confusion... if you applied under 38 NOC List use the old VO specific instruction which is to submit sealed TOR, and originals sa Canadian Embassy Manila... If you applied under the 29 NOC List or after june 26, 2010 then use the new or revise VO instruction which is photocopy sa Nova Scotia. The VO specific instruction was revised for the 29 NOC List applicants but not for the 38 NOC List applicants. Opinion lang

nabasa ko naman sa ibang threads na kahit nasa 38 NOC list ka, bagong VO instruction na ang susundin mo ayon sa nakasaad sa first AOR na matatanggap mo.

I have another question.

I have requested an NSO of my marriage and birth certification. When sending to CIO, should I send the NSO? or should I have this photocopied and notarized?

hello smilepmendoza! Yes i am an april applicant
but my visa office checklist is the new one already. Im a bit confused of what to send visa office if i need to send only COPIES of my PRC certificates, emplyment certificates and the likes. I am inquiring also about the after june 26 application because my sister is applying next month her application was returned to her because of some silly mistakes now she belongs to the new rules. I hope everything will go on smoothly for aLl of us! :)

hello smilepmendoza!! By the way in case you forgot even if you apply before june 26, 2010 the visa office checklist that we need to follow is the new one. Try to check the links that CIO gave you :) hoping for the best!
