Thank you very much for your detailed info. In your case have you informed the visa officer about the pregnancy of your wife or the medical report will it be sufficed for them to know the status.

After the medical exam, I sent the RPRF payment together with a letter stating the we have completed the medical exam and informing them of my wife's pregnancy and that the medical certificate was submitted to the clinic.

Anybody here who knows how to use HSBC funds transfer to CANADA? I read sa website nila na pwede daw mag open dito then ma transfer sa HSBC branch sa Canada.

for the fund transfer you can enroll with their online banking and use this to do fund transfer. but you have to have an account in Canada
but I'm not sure if you can open one while you are still here. for other fund transfer option (other than online banking) you have to call the bank baka pwedeng phone banking.

I am from Baguio City.. just recieved my 2nd AOR last July 13, 2010. I was reading this tread since January 2010 when we first submitted our documents in CIO.

Also please note pala that in the instructions, they clearly say photocopy and before that they have a note that says do not send originals (In travel documents and proof of relationship). Kasi there are parts where they say copies. Copies may mean a duplicate copy ha. A duplicate copy is different from a photocopy.

Suggestion ko lang, we should always go to the safer side. The hierarchy of acceptability of the genuineness and due execution of documents are the following:

1. original or duplicate original.
2. certified true copy
3 photocopy

This is in the legal fora both here and elsewhere. FYI. Good luck!

Hahaha. Sorry ha. Kasi I thought we are talking about the docs to be sent to the VO. Kasi I think Abilex and my timeline are the same. We submitted our application to CIO before June 26, 2010 and we received our 1st AOR sometime in June. Yung sinubmit namin sa CIO were photocopies only. After June 26, 2010 ang submission namin ng docs to Visa Office. Ang ipapasa na namin ngayon to VO-Manila are the ones either original, certified true copy or photocopy depending on the requirement mentioned.

Now, kung under the latest ruling which is after June 26, 2010, sorry, I may not be accurate sa requirements. So Id rather not delve on that. hehe ;D

Let me clarify on the duplicate original vis a vis certified true copy. Duplicate original is considered original. Diba, when we re-print, kunwari, the one from NSO, yung birth, original yon kasi ni-reprint yon originally. Yung certified true copy is a photocopy na may certification na compared with the original and certified the same. Usually ang certified true copy eh may time element. Kasi like a Contract of Sale. After so many years, you want to get a copy of the Contract of Sale, eh kaso since matagal na, wala nang original na available. So you get a photocopy from the signatory or agency na meron original tapos ipapa-certify mo na copy siya ng original. Kaya nasasabing certified true copy. O kaya ayaw magbigay ng agency ng original kasi nga matagal na and isa lang copy nila like employment contract. They will instead give you a certified true copy.

Hello everyone!!!

I just wanna get your opinions/suggestions on this matter, medyo nag-woworry narin kasi ako...

I got my PPR dated June 18, i sent my forms, photos, and PASSPORT, June 23, so it's been almost a month now, and my ECAS has not change, still IN PROCESS... and syempre wala pa ring passport. I already checked it with DHL and they told me that it was delivered in the embassy on jUne 24, the next day agad. ung mga ka-timeline ko kasi, either nag decision made na or na-receive na nila passport nila...

What can I do at this point? Do you think I should e-mail them and get for any confirmation if they really got my passport? or just keep on waiting kasi baka lalo lang tumagal... Worried kasi ako dahil I only have less than 2 weeks for the 45 days that they've given. I gave them A different address where they can return my passport since walang tao sa bahay, do you think that might have been the cause of delay?

May online tracking services ba DHL? If yes, you can check the status of your package online using the track number if it was really delivered. In my case ecas changed from being in process to decision made after two weeks they received my passport but like you I still haven't got my passport and visa and it's been a month now.

Try sending your query through e-mail. If it was lost or never delivered you may still have time to replace it.

hi blueray! If you are going to send documents to CIO the original copy that you need to send are only IELTS, POLICE CERTIFICATES and the application forms and the rest is copy lang. I'll give you a situation to make it clear.... If you wanna make sure about the "COPY" issue you can notarize it according to OhCanadiana but it will be an added cost on your part. Anyways, the checklist is clear naman on their instructions.... they will say naman if they want a certified true copy (like TOR of our universities) or a copy lang like in PASSPORT they are asking for a COPY not the ORIGINAL and it was mentioned there "A photocopy of your passport's bio-data page". The rules after June 26 is not yet clear to everybody. But one for thing for sure, thayt they are more strict nowadays so dapat if you will submit your documents to CIO flawless dapat and documents mo or else they will send back your application to you. Goodluck sa atin!

I just want to ask kung need pa change ng passport ang husband ko. He's the principal applicant, 2012 pa expired ng passport nya. Pero dapat ba palitan ng machine readable passport yung sa kanya bago kami mag submit ng full documents end of August?

Can anybody give me advice about previous employment, it's been 20 yrs ago and I don't have any documents to attached, bale close na yung company. How can I provide cert. of employment, puede ba letter lang na notarized?

hello! do not send originals if it is not asked because it will not be returned to you. =)

Just to make clear things up. When you arrange your documents, do it like this:

- Complete the CIO checklist. Leave the #12 for now (This is the Manila VO specific, and it mentioned copy).
- Then, complete your Manila VO documents needed. Huwag mo na isama yung mga nandun sa CIO checklist. like yung mga forms, and yung passport ng principal.
- After that, photocopy mo lahat nung nasa Manila VO docs mo.
- Then, ilagay mo sa likod nung CIO documents, yung Manila VO checklist, and yung mga photocopy mo, from the previous step.
- Lastly, send to CIO.

in my opinion you dont need to change your passport because it will expire in year 2012 pa. It doesnt matter if epassport sya or not. Regarding sa mga previous employers mo na nag close na.. Just provide a written explanation dapat clear and concise sya.

sa PPR naka specify MRP ang required kaya kung Green passport yan pa renew mo na.
