maybe its also good to ask your selves, " can you practice as a nurse in quebec without B2 level?"

I think in an English hospital it is possible. I watched a clip wherein the doctors and nurses are basically Anglophones (they needed an interpreter for their uni-lingual Francophone patient), so I am assuming charting is done in English in these hospitals. However, the patients are Francophones. With higher B1 level (i.e. last modules), at least one would be able to converse with the patients at least? And besides, once we get there, we could enter into free French language courses. We may not be able to work immediately in the healthcare field, but at least we have our immigration settled. A lot of piece of mind there, if you ask me. ;) I just want to know if we have a chance of being given a CSQ even without a B2 level yet if we already have the attained enough points, because if that is indeed the case, our waiting time will be less, don't you think? :)

somehow true you are lucky then, but I think give some space for the other side of it, not all nurses were given take a look at a member's profile here named knivesvente just a reminder not all is lucky I guess especially when you enter the interview room and saw the frowning face of a French lady officer who just entered her menopausal period :D you know what I mean.

Oh, yeah, I know what you mean! :o I'm terrified of interviews being conducted by that kind of interviewer. I just hope that they'll just waive our interviews and give us the CSQ's... It doesn't mean that we're going to stop studying French after getting the CSQ, anyway. Let's face it; mastery of the French language equals more and better job opportunities. ;)

hello to seniors of this thread...may i know your interpretation on this points for AOT?
"The diploma or degree must have been obtained in the five years previous to applying for Quebec immigration. If this is not the case, the applicant must have worked for at least one year out of the five years in a field directly related to the diploma or degree obtained." .. I finished my Bach of Nursing last April 02, 2008 does it mean i can get 16 points for AOT?...
what does this statement means? The diploma or degree must have been obtained in the five years previous to applying for Quebec immigration?... does it mean in order to avail the 16 points for AOT my Bach Nursing graduation must not be 5 years older? it's been than 5 years and 5 mos since i graduated from my nursing....will i receive 16 points for AOT or not because i finish my nursing 5 years and 5 mos already ....please need help....

SA tingin ko lang naman dyan is they want to make sure that you are still on par with your degree.. Ibig sabihin eh kahit ilang taon ka ng graduate sa nursing as long as you are working as a nurse eh you will be able to get your points. Pero if you're not working as a nurse but you are newly graduate not more than 5 years they will still grant you the points... Siguro ayaw lang nila bigyan ng points in that particular category if you are rusty already in your nursing knowledge or skills that is kung more than 5 years ka ng graduate and you are not practicing it pa... Pananaw ko lang to... I hope this helps

anybody here who knows when is the next interview?? been waiting for almost 6 months now.. :(
I'll be very happy to see your reply

You can get your points from your AOT as long as you've had worked for at least a year in a related field/domain even if your diploma has been obtained more than 5 years ago.

Does being Clinical Nurse Instructor counted as job related to Nursing and, will i gain points for that Experience)? somebody told me that it is not counted as Experience because i did not work in the hospital... :(.

12k for 80 hours, guys ok nb kya un? I mean reasonable b ung fee nila? thanks!!

i think that's already pretty good kung 3 lang kayo. the cheapest i've found with 1 on 1 private tutorial was 7k for 20hrs. all the others were more expensive, or needed to enroll in their 100+ hours or so in order to get the cheaper rates.
