guys, i didn't find the books in any bookstore. i went to Hachette's (the book's publisher) online site and looked for the distributor here in the philippines. unfortunately, the distributor is still in malaysia, so it can get expensive with the customs tax, but of course still cheaper than getting just one french course. i got the lecture books and exercises for b1, b2 and a delf review book for b2 for a price that's roughly a little bit more than the course for 1/4 of b1 (im talking about afm). by 1/4, i mean that in order to finish the entire b1 you would need 4 two and a half month courses in afm (8 modules all in all).kurtsebastian said:Baka mag self study kami kasi sa province kami e. wala ba sa mga bookstore noon? do u know how much does it cost if lectures from a1-b2 in afm? are they the same with that 8 modules that u've mentioned? thanks!raistlin17phil said:guys, i didn't find the books in any bookstore. i went to Hachette's (the book's publisher) online site and looked for the distributor here in the philippines. unfortunately, the distributor is still in malaysia, so it can get expensive with the customs tax, but of course still cheaper than getting just one french course. i got the lecture books and exercises for b1, b2 and a delf review book for b2 for a price that's roughly a little bit more than the course for 1/4 of b1 (im talking about afm). by 1/4, i mean that in order to finish the entire b1 you would need 4 two and a half month courses in afm (8 modules all in all).
ang alam ko 56 hours ata iyon for 6K++. that just for 1 session, or 2 modules. yes, the prices of their modules are the same regardless if you're getting a1, a2, b1... basta 56 sessions, 6K++ (2x per week), then meron din silang lesser number of hours, like saturday class lang. not sure lang kung magkano... you can't enroll from a1 to b2 at one time only... mejo lugi sila doon kung gusto nilang magtaas ng tuition fee, like what they have recently done. you have to enroll every session. there are 4 modules for a1, 4 modules for a2, 8 modules for b1 and 10 modules for b2.eciralc12 said:do u know how much does it cost if lectures from a1-b2 in afm? are they the same with that 8 modules that u've mentioned? thanks!

hi..i tried to read french books from AF without attending their classes, and it seems impossible to learn how to speak french without the actual teacher from AF...yup, you may know the meaning of the word but you will never know the right pronunciation and intonation of those word if you only read those books...anyone who wants to learn french must attend classes in AF or somewhere they find it affordable...raistlin17phil said:guys, i didn't find the books in any bookstore. i went to Hachette's (the book's publisher) online site and looked for the distributor here in the philippines. unfortunately, the distributor is still in malaysia, so it can get expensive with the customs tax, but of course still cheaper than getting just one french course. i got the lecture books and exercises for b1, b2 and a delf review book for b2 for a price that's roughly a little bit more than the course for 1/4 of b1 (im talking about afm). by 1/4, i mean that in order to finish the entire b1 you would need 4 two and a half month courses in afm (8 modules all in all).
AFM has increased their tuition fees to 4,390 per module (32 hour course, 2x per week for 8 weeks, 2 hours per session)... A1 has 5 modules, A2 another 5 modules... I guess you have to go through that first before thinking of B1 and B2...eciralc12 said:do u know how much does it cost if lectures from a1-b2 in afm? are they the same with that 8 modules that u've mentioned? thanks!
You can't learn french just by reading. You have to hear it and speak it as well. It is not pronounced the way it is written. If you want a guide you can try learning french through you tube. search for Imaginier if I'm not mistaken. He's made a lot of lessons and you can learn a lot from it as well. Just give it a try and see if you like it and if not then forget I suggested it.carielilviztie said:hi..i tried to read french books from AF without attending their classes, and it seems impossible to learn how to speak french without the actual teacher from AF...yup, you may know the meaning of the word but you will never know the right pronunciation and intonation of those word if you only read those books...anyone who wants to learn french must attend classes in AF or somewhere they find it affordable...
