Thanks andresfok for your reply. I will wait for the status update in ecas or an email from them.

Hi Guys,
I am trying to share this update in different threads to help everybody to figure out the applications treatment trend. I am copying and pasting the same message:
I hope I am not the only one who has an update.
Today, I received my RPRF request, and paid them right away.
The emails said:
This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose.
My application was received on may 23rd 2013
Medical done on august 23 2013 and received at the end of september 2013
My Ecas still shows medical received and didn't go "in process " yet
Anybody knows how long is gonna take before the PPR or COPR, in the worst case scenario?
Thanks in advance and i hope this is good news for everybody and that the timelines will fall to les than a year
Thanks again

I was also in the QSW category, applying from within Québec. It took one year to go from Application Received to receiving my COPR. I paid my RPRF in June and got my COPR in December, i.e. 6 months afterwards.

Perhaps you could anticipate a similar timescale?

Good luck to you too

Finally I got an email today asking for RPRF fees. Things started moving slowly. Hopefully another 6 months to go from now :-)

Friends,

After a long wait, I received my passport request by email. I had a few questions regarding mailing my passport to Canada. I emailed CPP, but no reply so far. The clock is ticking and I dont want to lose any more time. :-X :'(

If anyone here has experience with mailing passports to Canada, could you help? It is much appreciated (I am currently living in the USA).

1) When we mail our passport to Canada from the US, do we include any pre-paid mail (Fedex, UPS, etc.)
2) I have read that we can include Xpresspost (Canadapost). Is this true? I am trying to contact Canadapost from US, but I am unable to get through via phone.
3) Does your passport come back through the pre-paid mail you sent them or does CPP send it through their preferred mailing system?
3) Does CPP-Ottawa inform via email when they received the passport? or do we infer this via Fedex tracking?
4) Does CPP-Ottawa simply send the passport via regular post or do they inform before sending with some tracking number?

Thanks in advance.

Congrats! I think some people with relatives in Canada have helped them get the Xpresspost or so and has worked well for them. What is your timeline? When did you apply? Thanks

If you follow the post of april or feb applications, there are a few ppl who are in your shoes.
As far as your question
1/ no. They wont use those envelope
2/ Xpress post only work in Canada. Unless you have a friend who is willing to lend you his adress then send your passport back to US using fedex. Otherwise, it is useless to use Xpresspost
3/No, cic wont email you anything. Your tracking number with fedex or ups is the only thing.
4/they just send to US with regular post without any tracking number. It will be a surprise in your mail box.

Good luck

i will get a new gcms at the due date, and is there anyone who got the aor in april 2013 and now have got a IP or DM?
my eacs status is still AR.
