Hi, there
I also would like to share with you my landing experience at Montreal CIC office.
I went there in the morning 14/01/2014. Nice lady, checked all our papers : COPR, passport, visa,CSQ and my current work permit. She verified and corrected typo at the documents, all in 5 minutes , she asked us the routine questions; have I ever been convicted, refused admission or asked to leave Canada, and if I have any dependants outside Canada. And that's it. It took us 25 minutes .
After that we went to renew Medicare, and it was nobody there. So we have done it in 25 minutes :)
Than we went to Service Canada(Decarie) to got our permanent SIN.
We finished the whole process in 3 hours.

Congrats and thanks for sharing :)

Hello every one,

Does any body receive passport fast? I just received PPR letter this evening
and I have booked the ticket to leave Canada in Feb.21st.
As it says in the letter, "Canda Post" and "Courier"? Which is fast.
Normally how long will it take to get my passport back?

Really thanks.

Very unusual. You need to contact them immediately and ask for an explanation. Most inland applicants in 2012 have had their permanent residency. All the best with your inquiry.

I know! I have contacted them when it reached 20 months! They just replied that you're file is finalizing (THREE MONTHS AGO)

I've been contacting them through all means for the last couple of months. I guess I was not lucky enough! I don't understand why they asked me to pay the fees 6 months ago!

The latest notes I ordered in 11/12/2013 and received in 12/12/2013. Everything is the same (medical passed, security/criminality/eligibility not started) as compared to previous notes, except that:
1) the section "PAPER FILE" in page two shows "Location: QC-REG" rather than "Location: Registry" as previous
2) the section "APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT" shows: "Assigned to : ****" , "Assigned by: *****", "Due date: 2013/12/21" rather than empty

Until now, my e-case still shows "medical received". I guess once your application is assigned to someone, then it will be processed very fast.

By the way, near the title "GCMS Information Request: Application" in the note, the " Requested Date" is "12/08/13". So I guess my note actually reflect the process status until 12/8/13.

I am going to get my immigration visa. I have one question about the visa.
How long will be the visa valid? Does anybody knows?

Normally, Immigrant Visas are valid for one year from the date of medical exams. But my
medical has expired this month, how long would it be valid? Thanks.

Checking the forums, 3 applicants of October 2012 got decision made or ppr last week, i thought they were working on more recent applications, at least things are moving

You are right, also on the French forum the pvtiste, they got many decisions made for Oct 2012 applicants as well.

its kinda of weird , like they processed Nov and Dec 2012 applications then went back to Oct. it's random...

Does anyone know why PNP applicants seem to be given priority over QSW applicants? On one of the other threads in this forum (Feb PNP applicants), almost all of them received their PR in October/November yet QSW applicants are far behind that. It just seems weird/unfair to me that we're effectively provincially-nominated too yet we're not processed as quickly...

Guys is anybody having issue seeing online status ? it seems to me they have a problem on their website

Yeah, I am too. Maybe they're updating us all to approved. ;)
