Yegoo,

Our passports were received by Buffalo on Mar-08, however just yesterday we found out that we forgot to send with them the note about our heigh and eye color ;D , probably thats why we are so delayed ;D We e-mailed them yesterday to add this info to our case and will see what will happen.
Good luck to all of us!!!

You might wiil have a delay getting your passport back, i was reading in another forum that they will ask you to update some info. that meas the paper you forgot to send. Did you check your status on the ecas? my is still in process..

Guys don't forget that they update the system every Monday, you might find good news next week!!!

The best of luck!!!

File number starts with a B-letter and 9 digits: B 123456789
While on ecas enter B123456789 or b123456789 without space and select "Immigration File Number" or "Numéro de dossier - Immigration"

Yegoo, we actually finally received our passports today! ;D
We sent the email to update our info about heigh and eye color on Monday and then we saw yesterday that the prepaid envelope tracking number was active yesterday, so I guess they have send the passports back right after they got the info from us, which in my eyes seems to be very efficient!

I don't plan on mailing my passport. I will ask my Canadian girl friend to walk-in there for me.
I have a sense i'll be short of time otherwise and can't allow myself being out of status

If your status is set to expire soon, start thinking about a plan B, and maybe C and D. Planning ahead is always better than last minute plans cz you'll be more in peace.

Glad, your med'l is safely with VO fairooz... :) Also glad for ton40; congrats my friend and all the best in Quebec...

ton40,
Congratulations! I am really happy for you and your family. I wish you all the best in Quebec.
For your prepaid envelop, did you use FEDEX, OR USPS? Please let me know.
Good Luck to everyone!

Congrats ton40!

Here's to you and your family having a brand new, awesome life in Quebec!

Thank you everyone!
I am sure you will hear the good news soon!
HopeVisa, you can not use FedEx, our only option was USPS, this was one of the regulations we had to follow from the email requesting our passports....We used USPS express mail both ways, thats how it guarantees us fast delivery, tracking number and signature confirmation. Good luck everyone, its will be very soon, believe me! I think in our case paying the PRF help expedite the process, cuz two weeks after the check was en cashed we received the so wanted email with passport request! :D

Thanks a lot ton40 for your reply. I really appreciate it. As you can see I am getting ready for my pasport request!!! ;D
I hope it comes soon!!! I can't wait for this email to show up in my email adress. I am checking everytime!!!
Are you packing??? When are you landing??? Take me with you please !!! Aha ah
Have a great day
God bless everyone in this forum.
Good luck
HopeVisa

Congrats ton40, i know already that feeling its awesome for my part they got our passports last Monday and they cashed the FPR Today 4 days after, so I think does not matters if you send it before or with the passport.

About the way to send the passport you can not use FEDEX or UPS anymore for USA applicants have to send it through US Express mail or for those ones in Canada use Canada post Expresspost.

If you guys need any info for those who are planning moving to Montreal please don't hesitate asking me any question that you might have i have been living here for two years so I know pretty much all around the city.

Good luck to all!!!

I finally accessed to eCAS with my file number.

It says they received my application on November 04, which is quite weird since I sent them on August.

It doesn't say "In Progress". Instead, it says "Application Received"

Is this normal?

Well the good thing is that you now have your file# which should be a relief to know it's not lost in the mail and nothing was missing. We all know that if something's missing then the application will be returned to applicants and thus a delay should be expected... so congrats on that dude, I'm glad and proud you kept on trying.

But, regarding what ecas says it sure is weird. I think you should approach your lawyer for more info on what it means. You may also opt to ask Buffalo directly, but they might not answer your question directly. So, think about faxing them with/through your lawyer.. that will have a sounding impact or request CAIPS Notes. It takes a month to get it, but might be worth knowing whether time will soon be against you.

So that means we cannot see our PR application on ecas with study permit (client ID). Because i keep punching that stupid number and nothing comes out.
