Eng_Mtl,

sure you can see your application , if the case is opened.
That is the way I used before getting my file number. However , while signing in , be sure to use the "client ID number" (in the "identification type" combo box) , not the "immigration file number" , and avoid the hyphens (if there are any in the client ID No.)

Nkusi.

Well the good thing is that you now have your file# which should be a relief to know it's not lost in the mail and nothing was missing. We all know that if something's missing then the application will be returned to applicants and thus a delay should be expected... so congrats on that dude, I'm glad and proud you kept on trying.

But, regarding what ecas says it sure is weird. I think you should approach your lawyer for more info on what it means. You may also opt to ask Buffalo directly, but they might not answer your question directly. So, think about faxing them with/through your lawyer.. that will have a sounding impact or request CAIPS Notes. It takes a month to get it, but might be worth knowing whether time will soon be against you.
Thanks, ae03yy. You are always so kind.
I don't think it really matter when they received my application. My lawyer might have made a mistake, or it might simply means something else. But at this point, there's no point arguing why they got my file way too late. I'm angry but I'm trying to control myself haha

As you suggested, I will request CAIPS notes.
Thanks a bunch.

I've a question for our lucky friends who already got their ppr. After you got your AOR and medicals, did Buffalo send you an Initial Assessment or was the ppr thing the next time you heard from them? I've noticed a lot of people talking about this in the other PNP threads.

Thanks!

well that's right and let me point out that there process is deferent from our and thus they will
-first get Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) for an application
-then after a certain time they get Initial Assesment done and send a letter for medical
-doing the assesment is already done in our case by Quebec so that's why we only receive AOR. But, to the best of my knowledge, AOR = initial assesment for us
-Now after or before medical, some might be asked for further docs like police check... and then we get PPR request with as final step visa being returned.

That's a big difference with others PNP, espicially those who still have to submit proof of some sort like, language requirements.

please forgive tghe many mistakes, and happy fool day!

Congrats ton40!
I sent an email to Buffalo yesterday.
They replayed that they requested background information from other government offices. :'( :'( :'(
One friend told me it may take more than 2 years.

I only received medical. I did not receive a file # or AOR.

Does that make sense?

I didn't know AOR = IA for CSQ holders, but it totally makes sense.

Does that mean Buffalo only have to do medical and background check for Quebec applicants?

I noticed on this forum that other PNP applicants tend to wait around six months from AOR to PPR.

Would it be OK to assume it might take less for us?

But I also noticed other PNPs also get nominated by Provincial goverment. A bit confusing.

yes to both. it should take the time req'd for Buffalo to rceive Med'l reports and finish background check for us. Normally within 2-3 months they'd ask for passport according to older applicants on Trackitt and forums i know.

I'm waiting for CAIPS Notes to get released next week.

I can see my e-cas now active. It just show that my file was received in Nov 2010. Does that mean I will be receiving Medical forms soon ?

Thanks

when they say on ecas, we started processing your application on xx day, or when it states your file was rec'd on xx ... then expect a letter to be mailed withing next 2-3 weeks.

@Eng_Mtl

Now you know the status of your file. It is a good start .
My file was received late October 2010, and the processing started on 4March 2011.
So, if your documents are complete , i guess your AOR & medical forms are on the way .

Keep cool & positive, fella.

wcikkk, usually they would open your case and send your medical form by surface mail. It usually take less than month.
