Had my Oath of Citizenship yesterday in Mississauga! Such a wonderful ceremony! Received the certificate just after the Oath!

For me, it was available for download the same day. Immediately after the ceremony was finished I sent the signed form following the instructions received.

(At the end of the ceremony they explain that, in the subject of the email where you would attach the signed form, you must also write the name of the agent who verified your personal data before the oath began).

Is that a particular reequipment in your office? In my ceremony, they didn't mention that i need to put agent's name, also the agent who verified my personal information only has a "Agent 6". Mine office is Niagara

My ceremony time was 9 am PST, the entire process took 90 mins. There were close to 80 folks taking oath on the zoom call. At 1030 am, I sent the signature email. Got eCertificate available to download at 130 pm, same day

I wouldn't really call the ceremony an ordeal, it was pretty surreal (in a positive way) experience for me

Im a paper applicant and I recieved LPP on july 17 on tracker and daily I check both my Ecas and tracker. and my ecas still in progress. I haven’t recieved my decision made update in ECAS as yet.

So not alway

May I know when your test got completed in Tracker? and is your case family or single?

I got my test completed july 19. Family (1 parent n minor)

No not at all I was in similar situation for more than 17 months with my startup. and I got my citizenship in 2021.

The problem is that I didn't added that startup as activity while I filled work history section in citizenship application. I added that period as unemployed for two months. But it can be seen as experience in LinkedIn for that period with title as founder. Will that cause issue if they check linkedin?

I didn't made any money during that period so I added that period as unemployed on application.

No its not going to cause any issue, If they think there is a mismatch they always call for an interview which is very easy to clear any doubts.

this is nothing to worry about, I know atleast 4 people in same scenario and they all have gotten citizenship in 2021-2022.

Hey congrats!!!

I wanted to ask you how were you able to request an in person ceremony? Did they contact you to ask your preference? Or did you voluntarily told the processing office? If so, what did you tell them?

Also, waiting to hear from you once you receive the new redesigned passport
