I meant that application by mail can not be sent to a preferred location, just to Gatineau, Halifax and Mississauga. If you want the new one, I wanted it too, you will need to travel to Laval, Vancouver, Ottawa, location where the "maple leaf one" is being printed etc...

North York neither! I was there this afternoon. The lady told me that by Spring 2024 all the locations will be issuing the new version. I might send my application by post to Ottawa hoping to get the "maple" one.

I went to 74 Victoria St and was told by an officer that it will take a while until they start to issue the new one. He said North York and Scarborough are issuing the new version. I am gonna check the information this afternoon at North York location.

I am going to apply this week too! But as I said in late posts, I'm planning to go to Ottawa so to get the new design. Hoping to hear that in 74 Victoria St, they've upgraded to new printers so I don't need to travel!

I tried to book an appointment but there are no available dates. It is written that it is possible to apply by walk in though. That's how I'm gonna do. Or still send by mail.

For the ones recently became Canadian Citizens and applied for the passport in Ottawa. You guys got the redesigned one? I live in Toronto but planning to travel to Ottawa to apply for the passport.

But Laval and Ottawa are issuing just the new design? I mean, is it certain that if I apply in Ottawa I will get the new one?

I had my Oath last July 25! So happy! I live in Toronto and hope so Service Canada starts to issue the brand-new passport here. I am just waiting for it to apply! Do you know if I could go to another city to apply? Thank you!

Thank you! I received the Notice to Appear In-Person. I don't know they choose. What I know is that when you receive the invitation, you can send a message back saying that you prefer the other modality. I will let you know about the passport!
