Hi all
I had a question regarding work history section if someone can answer.
On work history, I entered my jobs that I was employed in the past. But, in 2022 I was unemployed for like 3 months so I entered that period of 3 months and wrote title as not employed. But, during that time, I started one tech software startup which I never made money and I have shown those 3 months as Founder of that startup on linkedin. I didn't included this job or activity on application as I never made any money from it. Will that cause any issue if cic checks my Linkedin?

Hi! I don't have an answer to your question but after reading through your messages I realized that we have a similar situation.

I have applied online with spouse. AOR on Feb 21 and test completed on Apr 15. Spouse's background completed on May 30 but no updates on my application since then.

Requested a callback from IRCC thinking that I probably missed a notification for additional information but they confirmed that they do not need anything at the moment and our application is in progress. Like you mentioned I was also told that it's normal for family applications to not follow the same timeline until the oath ceremony.

We live in Calgary but our application is being processed in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Requested GCMS notes on June 13 and yet to receive them.

Thanks for your updates!
Yeah it sounds somewhat similar except the fact that you have already completed the test and yours was online application whereas ours was paper application.

I received my GCMS notes a couple of days back. Unfortunately, none of the assessments have yet started.

Knowing that the application has not moved a millimetre even after about 6 months is extremely distressing. My primary office is Ottawa and secondary office is Sydney. The only three entries in my notes are as follows:

Appreciate if someone could help in deciphering it for me. Thanks!

Did you provided passport copies with all stamps? Have you renewed your renewed passport?

When your wife goes to apply for the passport, they will accept the application for your daughter, but will give a form which you will need to sign in presence of the embassy/consulate officer along with your ID like passport etc. They will verify and transmit this form to the same passport office. The process delays the passport delivery by max 7 days or so. Your wife passport will come earlier and then your daughter's passport.
Also, please note after this if they flying out of Canada, you will need to give them a consent letter for your daughter (below 12), irrespective of the airline they are using.

I submitted copies of all pages, regardless stamped or unstamped. I have not renewed passport since applying - it is valid until 2025. Does it sound to you like a delay due to passport related issue?
