I think the standard email varies by VO as mine was not like the above post from NDVO nor yours from Bogota

My VO is Bogota and my AOR2 talks about medical exams and getting them done (mine expired), police clearance and the payment (we paid upfront) so I guess it's another copy of the receipt.

Hmm.. My wife's AOR2 just says they recieved the application and explains when to contact CIC, when they will contact her, how to check the status and processing times, and how she can prepare for immigration to Canada.

They also sent to me instead of my wife and we did not submit the Use of Representative form to name me as her representative.

Never mind, I got confused I was reading SA email, you're right that's what AOR2 says, it's the same letter for everyone.

Guys.. In the AOR2 I received, they are asking for additional documents..

We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada and have created a file with the file number indicated above. Please quote this file number in all future correspondence with our office.

In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the following as soon as possible:
· Proof of payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid. Note: dependent children are not required to pay the Right of Permanent Resident Fee.
· Submission of police clearance certificates for you and all dependent family members who are 18 years or older, for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted. Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.

Is this a general standard email or I have to resubmit these documents. They have the orginal police clearance already and the fee receipt. Please advise experts..
Hi,

My spouse got the AOR2 in this same format, and i received the SA through post. Is this something that happens usually?

I checked my wife's ECAS status, it shows as following,

Permanent Residence
1.We received your application for permanent residence on February 22, 2016.
2.We started processing your application on April 18, 2016.
3.Medical results have been received.

Does it mean "In Process"? but she did not get AOR2.

The "We started processing your application on April 18, 2016." is AOR2. You might not get an email depending on your VO.

So I don't see Medical Results line on the PA side. My wife did upfront medical. I am the sponsor. Can I call CIC to inquire if they have received medical results?

My wife already sent an email to London Visa Office on March 30th, and she attached e-medical receipt. Its been 21 days for that and still no update.

Or should I just relax because I know for sure I sent it with the application, and now second time through email.

Make a case specific enquiry :)

So MIDI sent back my CSQ application because the payment failed: I didn't realize it had to be paid with a credit card, and mine is a debit card. I knew it said "credit card" everywhere but I thought it was just a way of saying "card". It wasn't. :D If only we could pay the fees online just like we did for the PR application! It would be much easier and quicker.

I need to send everything back with the payment, I guess the only option for me is to pay with an international cheque via my bank (I live in the UK). Let's hope I get it righ this time!

I'm sorry to hear this.

Hopefully it all works out this time around.

Thanks, Mega! I just ordered a cheque through my bank, it should get there in a week and I'll be able to send everything back. ;)

In the amount of 275$ :) that's a good turnaround.

Hey guys,

Received an e-mail from the Ottawa office today requesting a scan of my passport (I didn't have one until just recently, Michigan has a special driver's license that allows entry into Canada without a passport, so I hadn't bothered).

I assume this is good news for Ottawa applicants that they're efficiently working on our applications ;D It also gave me my UCI number.
