1. SPONSOR expectation during the first step:

a. AOR1 or Application package will be sent back for lack of important document
b. request for missing document or updated document - based on your spousal application
c. Medical, CIC payment, required application forms and Police report check
d. SA = Sponsor Approval email or letter

2. SPONSORED APPLICANT expectation during the second step:

e. AOR2 - from Visa Office
f. missing or updated document request - based on case to case
g. eligibility and criminality check
h. Interview - based on case to case
i. passport request for visa

Hi Officer. I am now 66+ days since mailing my application to CPC Mississauga. Is AOR sent as soon as my documents are received, or when processing starts? At the moment, I have no idea if my package even got there safely. Landy67

Did you send it by a courier (UPS or DHL) or did you use regular mail? Did you atleast get a tracking number and signature record?

These are very important documents, including some originals. Not to mention, the time you invested in gathering all these documents.

I would suggest calling CIC or sending in an email.

Have just posted my Outland Spousal Sponsorship today! Checked it over about 25 times.. there's not possibly much more I can do to make this easier for them!

Is there a February spreadsheet to update? Can't wait for this baby to arrive and be finished.. had mine returned last year for out of date forms.. this time we are good to go!

Hello everyone, We are going to send our application to mississauga second week of February. I wanted to know the address of it, and also, my husband has to pay for it, can he pay via credit card? or cash to send it with them? I am from the Philippines by the way and I am looking for the application time for the Philippines and I can't find it, do you think it'll take a year and half to process? I am new here and this is my first post so I have lots of questions and curiosity. Thank you guys tho

credit card is faster as you can print off the receipts within minutes; cash is not accepted. Ask you husband to follow the link.

For processing time, CIC website says 17 months, but I believe it still varies per location. Might be worth your while to follow the Manila thread:

Good luck!! Isn't it the greatest feeling every to send the application?? Nothing is no longer in your hands and the waiting begins! Trust me i just sent mine last month and I have been worried I forgot things or didn't sign even after looking it over hundreds of times!! Good luck!!

Yep I can attest to that! I posted my application yesterday, and it scheduled for delivery on Monday Feb 8. It is such a HUGE relief. Now the wait begins!

Hello all.

CIC received our application on February 4, 2016. Expensive sending via UPS from Vietnam but well worth the comfort knowing th epackage arrived and accepted.

Oh yes, we submitted the old IMM0008. Can still miss things after reviewing 20 times. Any advice? Resubmit form or wait for CIC direction?
