We just filled it out the same way we used to fill out the old form. PA in the first section and Sponsor in the designated individual and we both signed the form. See what happens.

Yes, we want to ditch the rep, but we put so much money into that guy, in the off chance that something goes wrong, it would prob be better to have him in our backpocket. even tho we have lost nearly all confidence in him.
We emailed him a few weeks ago saying we wanted to submit additional documents to the Vo and his answer was: "I would hold those for now – you have provided plenty of evidence of a bona fide relationship (not to mention a marriage certificate)."

to him, a marriage certificate seems like solid proof lol ???
Wow

Hi Guys, sorry for being a pest but I was hoping if somebody could throw some light?

Log in with sponsored person(PR) in ECAS - Decision MADE. And it was on 9th Sep

Medical results have been received.
We sent you correspondence on If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
This was for PCC which we have provided 40 days ago.

Log in with Sponsor Credentials - Decision Made -
On Sponsor Side

We received your application to sponsor name on .
We started processing your application on .

On PR Side
We received name application for permanent residence on
We started processing name application on
Medical results have been received.

Apart from the decision made rest all have been the same. I searched so much on this with keywords - DM but no lines added, DM no PPR and so on .. most of the forums people said it is a +ve news but there r different timelines ranging from 1 to 30 days to get an email from CIC after this fake decision made. Any idea what you make out of it - +ve, -ve or neutral(by neutral i mean this is a system glitch and in sometimes it will go in PROCESS again)? Also in MYCIC there is no update.

Hello everyone !

I am going to apply for Spousal Sponsorship for my wife (living in Canada) through Out-Land sponsorship program (Family sponsorship plan).

I have a question concerning police certificate required from Pakistan.

During my Permanent Residence process in which my wife was added as a "non-accompanying dependent", my wife got her Open Work Permit approved and came to Canada. During the end of my PR process, 4 months ago CIC requested for my wife's recent Police Certificate from Pakistan, which we applied and provided. My wife has not left Canada since then.

Now the question is while Sponsoring my spouse now, do I have to get a new Police Certificate for her ? (Even though we had it issued 4 months ago and my wife has not left Canada).

My PR application took 17 months and CIC only asked for my police certificate 1 time in the beginning of my application. This would seem that if you remain in Canada, then you don't need to get a new Police Certificate every 11-12 months.

Any thoughts on this mater, your guidance will be very helpful.

Kind regards,

- Subtain

I am a little confused... why would you apply outside of Canada process when she is in Canada. shouldn't it be inland? Regarding PCC it really depends on VO, like for my VO when i applied in skilled worker category they did not ask for anyPCC despite 12 months past... but in my Spouse's case(spouse sponsorship prog) they asked for updated PCCs(yeah we had more than 1) in 7 months.
So, my opinoin which could be wrong, check if you should be doing outside or inside and secondly i would say go for it, your case would most probably go to OTTAWA if you apply inside and they are doing it very fast now a days and PCC is initial checklist thing for them so within 2 months of applying you woud know whether you need new PCC or not

Thanks truthprev for your guidance. I am applying for Outland because while being in Canada, you can apply for Outland as well. Inland processing time these days is 26 months and Outland is significantly smaller. But you just mentioned they are doing Inland very fast these days. Have you seen a couple of fast inland cases?

I have seen more than couple, easily 5. But those were from 1st world countries like Australia, US, Belgium etc.. You are from Pakistan, in that case i don't know. Or even if we forget first world countries for a while,i wonder if it safe to assume that Ottawa VO is fast!?!! And I guess for Pakistan the VO is London which also is very time consuming, so it would be a gamble if you apply Inland and may work in your favour... Sorry if i made you confused..
Whatever it is,i would suggest you to apply asap without dwelling on to get a new PCC or not... if it is easier for you to get a new PCC like 10 days time, then i would say go for a new PCC and apply and if not then apply with thecurrent PCC and let us see...Again, these are my views could be 100 % right or 100% wrong...

Thank you truthprev ! This clarifies a lot. I'll apply asap since getting a police certificate is like 25 days wait for me. Also I don't have original police certificate for my spouse. I submitted her original PC 4 months ago to finalize my PR file. So CIRC has her originals. I was hoping to send a scan with explanation. In your experience, do they send the application back for missing original documents, or will they just ask for the original certificate.

I plan to apply within 3-4 days but initiate the PC process back home. This will save me around 20 days to submit application. But if CIRC asks for police certificate after I send my file, then it will also cause a delay of same time or perhaps more. Considering that, should I just wait for 20 days to get the original PC and then apply?

Yes, it is a painful process. More so when you end up in the interview queue.

Good news though, a late February applicant just received DM and PPR from Singapore. So there is hope for those waiting for news!! Hang on a little bit longer!

You are right, if CIRC asks for a PCC that should delay the file. So, getting a new PCC and then applying sounds the better option. I think you would need a new PCC anyways because the other one you have submitted with your PR file and I guess they would need new documents for a new file. If I were you I would have gotten the meds and PCC afresh and then applied. You can use own discretion and may be you come up with a better information from other forums or some friend or calling up CIC.

I have a question - if background checks show in progress in MYCIC, does it matter? If you could check my question a little bit above(2nd entry from the top), we got DM in ECAS last Friday but no line was added. I don't know what to make of this. background check has been in progress for some 20 days... Thanks for your response.
