Hello everyone,

Please I need your assistance as soon as possible. My Husband is a PR and moved to Canada on the 17th of January. He got a job and started work on the 2nd of February. Now he plans to apply for me at the end of this month (I live in Nigeria). How to we go about the sponsorship evaluation part. Does he need to get the Option C or is there any other way, since he has not worked in Canada before and has not been filing for taxes. He was working in Nigeria as a health personnel before moving over to Canada. Please your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Neelzar

As you are aware there is no income requirement for spousal sponsorship and the only requirement is he not on welfare. He will just provide an employment letter and any pay stubs till now. You will provide a letter explaining why you dont have option-c and that should suffice.

When did you guys get married and did he include you in the application?

Sent ours yesterday on feb 17 through canadapost....delivered today feb 18....

We just mailed in our applications today, hoping and praying for a quick and smooth process! ;D I tracked the package, and it says estimated delivery date is March 2nd.

We finally sent in our complete application Feb. 18. I hope that sponsor approval takes less than 85 days. I think that my husband's FBI clearance might expire by the time they look at his PR application...I think they are only valid for 3 months. Well, I will cross my fingers. Good luck everyone!

Mine is only good for 3 months as well. Does that mean they won't accept it? Should we request another one just in case?

It is 3 months however that 3 months is to the date they receive it at CPC-M

Hello everyone! We just mailed in our family class (husband lives in US) application on Valentine's Day and it arrived at CPC-Missisauga on February 18th according to FedEx. Hoping for a speedy AOR and SA!

Is there a February 2015 outland spreadsheet set up?

I'm a Canadian and my husband is Jamaican and we send our application in Feb 3rd.. we sent it from Jamaica since I'm down there 3 months with him.. once the application left Jamaica I could not track it anymore but it did reach Canada so I guess that's good news.. and I also had an in Canada application and wrote them too cancel it cause I switched it to out of Canada application but they never wrote me about that either...

I am getting ready to send our application soon.
My wife is Canadian, but we both live in Poland. She has been here for 5 years and worked as an English teacher. I am scared that it can be an issue, cause I have a business so she works only a bit here and she can not proof a high income for 2014 (I know that there's no minimum income require for outlanders, but still).
Does anyone have a similar situation or did you hear about similar cases?
Thanks!
