Thanks Kayaker! Yea, I had ordered my GCMS notes a couple weeks back so I'm curious to see what it says when I get it back.

I'm tempted to order our case notes again just to see what's going on. Not sure if it'll show us anything helpful now though.

Hey everyone!
So glad to hear everyone is FINALLY starting to hear about their visa applications!
Just a quick question!
We got decision made (wooohooo! Although super nerve wracking…i wish they didn't have to mail it…) on Oct 2 and still haven't received any sort of letter (it's being mailed from London, UK). It has my address in Canada down as the mailing address so I'm assuming it's all coming here even though Dan is in England. What has been the average time for the mail to reach everyone? I'm starting to get nervous as it's been 20 days...

We also got DM on Oct 2 (or Oct 1, I am not sure) and we got COPR on Oct 7. The actual COPR was printed on Sep 29.

My VO (Manila) uses DHL for sending COPR - do you know if your VO does the same? Maybe you could ask people in the London thread. If they do, it's possible they sent it to the wrong address. It seems to happen more often than it should.

Thanks for the quick Reply Kayaker! I sent a case specific inquiry to the visa office, so hopefully they'll respond to me soon! It seems as though a few others who applied to the London Visa office didn't hear about their COPR until after 13 business days…some have even been waiting 1-3 months :S Hopefully I hear back soon! I'm starting to get anxious

so it seems we got our PPR today.....except cic made it pretty clear that the passport cards my stepkids have are not acceptable for immigration. so we're in a crunch - a very expensive crunch - to try and get the kids new passport books and send Ottawa copies by 11/23. hopefully if we need more time they'll be understanding. fingers crossed.

We still haven't heard anything.

Our ecas still hasn't even updated to medicals received. :-[

Found my COPR in the mail! It was dated Oct 17, 2014, the day after Ecas status changed to DM, and shipped to my (applicant) US address. Will be landing next week when I fly into Pearson. So excited!!

Don't lose hope missmatalini! It took about 2 months from when CIC received my FBI letter plus proof of SPR residency docs to get to DM.

Hope the rest of the February crew will get a decision made soon!!!

I sent you a private message. Check your inbox.

If there is a Multicultural Association in your area, ask them. They help new immigrants settle in and find jobs. The one in my area is very helpful!

hello kayaker. i dont know if theres multicultural association here in TO. where is your location?

http://www.citizenship.gov.on.ca/english/newcomers/agencies.shtml

I think here you can find a whole list of organizations that exist to help newcomers - you could take a look at each organization and figure out (or just give them a call!) which one might be helpful for you.

So I just opened our ecas as I do every morning and came upon this

A decision has been made on XXX's application. The office will contact XXX concerning this decision

Now Im both happy and confused.... The writting is so formal..... Its a good sign isn't it? Our file is pretty straight forward so I shouldnt worry but you never know.... If he would have been rejected would it say it?
How long before you are actually contacted by the office?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
