Heard Back from our MP today

She said that she confirmed over the phone that CIC doesn't have our medical or proof we paid our fee.

Ironically, the assistance from the MP helping us originally used to work for the Dr. Who performed my medicals, and was in in disbelief on how you "lose" or can't find an e-medical form. The Dr.'s office says they can't resend them. . . . I will be LIVID if I have to pay to have it done AGAIN!

MP has requested they not close our application on the 15th of October since we have started the process to get our FBI clearance done. We are sending our receipt out again tonight along with a completed form that we did our medicals.

Praying things smooth out.

out of curiousity, is there a reason you are not emailing your fee receipt and medical receipt? when they requested my fee, email was an approved way of sending it. did they specifically request hard copies to be mailed? at this point, i would think email would be the safest approach, or sending it by both email and regular mail.

We did both! We emailed and snail mailed it. Lost the tracking number though for the snail mail so that makes it pointless.

I've emailed the medical information again, by I would LOVE to know how the hell (pardon my language) you lose an e-medical result?

That's really disturbing... my mind starts spiraling when I think about what else they may have possibly lost or misplaced...

Hello everyone! I just checked ecas and it says decision made!

My only concern is - I never got a request for Appendix A (or passport request - but I'm Japanese so I heard that they ask Appendix A of Japanese people, not the passport). Has anyone here heard of a positive decision from Manila without a request for Appendix A?

On a related or unrelated note - we got a request for additional doc on July 15, with a August 30 deadline. The document reached Manila on September 12, because the document took that long to obtain. However our MP's assistant assured us that Manila would not automatically close our case on August 30, since we are already in communication with them and they know we are working on getting this document.

Any thoughts?

Congrats to everyone who is getting a Decision Made! It's about time! :)
(I'm mega jealous though, not gonna lie)

~~~
It boggles my mind too, and makes me feel sick that they can lose something like that. . . it makes me question if they've lost any other valuable parts of my application such as pictures or other things of worth to make our application strong. Ugh I'm so worried it'll be March before this is all over and we have our decision made
My husband had his interview this morning at 8:30 AM in Havana, Cuba. They didn't ask him a single question, only for his passport and his criminal records clearance.
After a few hours of waiting they returned the application package we submitted to him.
They asked him to return to the embassy at 2:00 PM to pick up his passport.
He now has his PERMANENT RESIDENT VISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is due to arrive (God Willing) in Toronto at 1:00 PM this friday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!~
Congratulations.....
Looks like La Habana does things in the old fashion way....
You go and get your papers.... 8) :P ;)
But Medicals were done on September 25, 2013 which means his medicals have expired. Didn't they ask him to redo the medical exam?
HELP/Question:
Do they really ask for updated PCC every time when they request for PPR?
Do people send updated PCC usually when they request for PPR?
Sending Indian updated PCC is not an issue, but my wife also needs to send Chinese PCC, as she lived there more than 6 months, and she left china 3 years ago! It takes very long for her to get PCC from China!
Currently her file is in process since September 16. No emails about requesting updated PCC.
Please someone share this, who already got PPR, did you mail updated PCC with Passport?
Thanks a lot. :-X :-[
I think generally they do not ask for a new PCC when they ask for PPR. Maybe some people are asked to send in a new PCC if the one they sent is more than a year old. (Maybe. I don't know for sure.)
In my case, I was asked to send a second PCC because they didn't like the first one I sent. (It didn't have a letterhead or fancy emblems or anything on it.) But I didn't get a PPR. I don't know if that's because I'm Japanese, or whatever reason.
Every case is different... in your case I don't think that they are going to ask more PCC,
as they already asked you for the Passport, if any other document was to be asked this would be the moment,
they didn't, then I don't think that you have anything to worry about.
