Hi everyone,

We just put in our application via CPC-M, intended for Sydney. Application mailed Feb 21, arrived Feb 24, no acknowledgement date to report at this stage. Medicals done in Jan, finished Feb 18th. Good luck to everyone!

Cheers!

Welcome Netkid to the group! Congratulations for filling and sending the application. Now is time to wait.
I saw in spreadsheets from past months that applicants from the Sydney VO have quick time processing. Good luck!

Hi Steler,

Looks like CPC received our apps on the same day. When do you think we should hear by? End of next week? I've been so anxious.

Hopefully next week or the following one, please!
I can't wait to see the AOR and then the approval, and then the PR. Can we just get it, and thats it? As soon as we get it, as soon as they get more taxes from us...

Thank you/merci/gracias/domo!
I had been monitoring the Sydney times and it was a large driver in getting the application asap. On good advice from others in the group, it will be a few weeks to hear anything, but we did provide our email addresses, so fingers crossed!

I just opened up the January outland spreadsheet and it looks like people who had applications received the week of Jan 23 - 27 are receiving AOR's...and even those were tagged as being days ago, so hopefully they're just finishing off the Jan applications, if not already! The CIC website is a bit cryptic though - they advise 34 days for SA yet the dates don't line up - ah well - grab a cup of hot chocolate, sit back, and wait I suppose!

The 34 days is just an average it seems - some go faster, some go slower. Our application has been there for 8 days. So if I don't hear some positive news in 26 days, sitting back and waiting will look more like rocking myself in the fetal position.

I feel like I sent my application away forever ago. . . . and it's only been like 2 weeks ::)

LOL!!

I started to follow the January outland thread - and there was a person who had their package arrive Jan 30 and received approval today - so that means the Feb applications should start to flow shortly. As someone joked...it's likely everyone was just busy watching the hockey last week... :D

I realized today I wrote "N/A" on question I should have answered on my sponsorship evaluation form. I thought it was apart of another question, but it was actually it's own question. I called CIC and the agent send they could end up sending the application back to me because of this, even though I provided all the required information to know what the answer to the question should have been. I'm so upset. Definitely turning into rocking-baby-Stewie now.

There may be a possibility that they will ask to submit that one form instead of returning the whole thing? It gets frustrating when this happens. I hope they just ask you to resubmit that one form

That's what I'm hoping too. Has that happened before? :/ I think I'm going to wait for the AOR since it'll give me my client ID and then fax in a corrected form with a note about why and offer to mail in the corrected form. Maybe that will avoid the whole process starting back over at zero. UGH.
