Sorry I don't. I was obsessed with tracking my application during my PR application but didn't really care as much about the citizenship application because nothing really changes technically! But I'm glad it done though!

Congratulations OrangeC! Where was your local office?

Congrats again. It seems that you did not travel outside of the country so much, and that partly explains why your file was processed so fast.

Now that your memory is still fresh, could you share some of the questions?

We're not allowed to share actual questions. But some tips from my perspective..

Find online practice tests and take every one you can find, not to measure yourself, but with the intention of getting to every question in those databases. I believe there's a good chance of passing the written test just by practising these online tests plus a perfunctory read of the book. But if you don't want to risk it, read the book very thoroughly several times and you will ace the test.

I also used this as an opportunity to understand Canada better and therefore took an interest, created my own 5-century calendar with important events with dates etc so I get a sense of Canadian history's progression. I related most everything I read to exactly where it happened on Canada's map to get a sense for the geography as well. The political structure is very similar to other countries I am familiar with, so that part was easy. Remembering names of important contributors was the most difficult, and to me, uninteresting part. I spent a weekend on the prep and at the end, most of the effort was unwarranted from the test's perspective because the questions were so easy but it was interesting to learn about our new country anyway, so time well spent :-)

Congratulation digag235! But could you explain how you know when the local office received your file? Thanks for sharing this. Bikar

Bikar, I called the call centre and the girl was super friendly she said on june 5th your backgrounds check were finished and the file was transferred, which is the same day the received line disappeared. I asked when I should expect a test and she said well well im not sure, they only received the file in mississauga on june 13th so it may take a while before you hear from them. But surprisingly it came sooner than expected, 10 days later i was sent a test date for july 9 and got oath for the 14th lol

My wife after her the test which she passed had a RQ because we non intentionally entered her date of birth as the date she entered canada
The interview was smooth initially but got cold after she noticed this, received the RQ 2 days after the examination will gather documents and proof to send soon

Do you guys know how much tins will delay process? Our office in Niagara Falls which is where we will send the RQ to
Applied separately for citizenship on different dates
Applied February 2014
acknowledge march 2014
Test July 7, 2014

Sincerely

Hiiii Aymu, how are you ? I am soo sorry for what happened to your wife, however; from what I read in this forum and other sites I guess nowadays the CiC is processing every thing fast and even the RQ cases won't take long time same as before. So be optimistic and hope this will not last long. lets say 2 - 4 month max. specially the reason for the RQ is not solid..it was unintentional mistake as you explained.

I remember you also sit for the exam in last June, I guess June 16, so any news so far ? there is an oath ceremony in next July 25 hope both me and you hear a good news in the coming days..I also passed the test on June 18 in Niagara falls.

All the best for you and your wife.
