Citizenship applicant with RQ

Hello,

I am December 2013 applicant. In process: Feb 2014. Got RQ May 2014 and responded with complete documentation on June 2014 to Scarborough as instructed in my RQ letter. Got Test from Scarborough (although my local office should be St. Clair) on Mid August. Got 20/20 on test. Interview was very short and she did check my IDs as well as talking re my job and cross check some dates from my application with my passport. I saw my RQ file there but she never touched it. At the end she said that my RQ is not been reviewed yet and they will send my file to St Clair for someone to review my file. She didn't say why i got test before RQ being reviewed and how long would it take for me to get the oat!

1- Is this a new trend/policy to invite for test before reviewing the RQs?

2- Why am I been invited to send my RQ response as well as doing test & interview at Scarborough while my office should be St Clair and now sending my file to St Clair for someone to review RQ??

Any expert input would be highly appreciated.

1. Same situation for me (had my test last week). Someone else reported this new procedure as well procedure. I believe during your test not everyone showed up. These people don't make it to the next stage until they pass the test. This way CIC seems to lower the workload of RQs and reduces the processing time. They seem to try to avoid assessing the RQ response from applicants who don't even show up for the test and who's application might get cancelled.

2. in the GTA, offices seem to be assigned at random.

so far no update, and calla center saying it will take up to 44 months
any advice ?

44 months when i called them they said wait for 36 months.

you know as usual CIC call center, you get nothing from them when you say WHY
they said it your RQ, other one saying your RQ is done, and u in the test waiting list
dont know the criteria and basis for the processing time

I will apply for Canadian citizenship in September 2014, I spend 8 months on EI parental leave ,I never went out of Canada during this time, how can I avoid RQ , please share

Wow, thats a quick processing. Congrats. I hope same happens with me too, I submitted RQ to Scarborough on May 2 nd, no news on oath yet.
