Took long time for sydney to transfer ur file. of course, 4 month maybe is normal

I do not think this is related to the local office transfer. Our application was transferred to the local office on May 20th and the "Received" line is still there.

I need to call CIC to know my local office... has been on my to do list for a while ...

@u4g5.... long time indeed, was looking at the spreadsheet and among the 2014 applicants I am almost topping the list of the days from IP to Received Line disappearance.

On a quick look, family applicants are on the express lane of processing it seems....

Hi everyone,

I need to know when my application was transferred to a local office. Could you please explain how to know? I called CIC more than a month ago to get an update and the agent told me my application was transferred to a local office, but when I called a month later, another agent told me it has not been transferred. He also added that it usually takes one year to transfer applications to a local office. I guess the second agent did not even bother to look at my file, but how could I know for sure? Any suggestions?

This is good news, though nobody knows for sure what it actually means. Have you ever called CIC? Do you know what your local office is?

Never called the CIC, I'd assume the local office is Montreal.
