Hi Tom,

I know you must be getting frustrated about this whole situation. But we are also in the same boat, still not a single message to let us know even if they have received our application.

We just received our GCMS notes and it states that they still haven't even opened our files and the only thing that is "in process" is our medicals which we sent in over a year ago.

I don't know what we can do at this point. We have tried everything to try to get some answers, but nothing as of yet..

I wish you all the best in your applications, and keep your cool. Everything will get better soon (HOPEFULLY)

Hi Kuudir my dear.
I know and I feel for you. Cairo is not an easy VO to deal with, especially these days with the unrest. I wish that CIC decided to move all the Cairo apps to another working VO soon.
I wish you too all the best my dear and hope that any day now you receive good news

Tom

Thanks Tom!

Yep. sadly so... Living apart from spouse for such long periods of time so hard..
I can only travel at best once every 3 month for a short week... and if I go for 2 then it becomes every 6 month...sigh...
This is torture...

Hoping... waiting... good luck to all!

My application moved to "in progress" on August 12th 2013 with London VO. They requested an RCMP check which I completed, mailed, and they have received in London.

Anyone know roughly how long they take from that point to finalize the PR?

OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! I woke up this morning to find the following in my ecas:

Permanent Residence
1.We received XXXXXXXXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on February 21, 2013.

2.We started processing XXXXXXXXXXXXXX's application on September 13, 2013.

3.Medical results have been received.

4.A decision has been made on XXXXXXXXXXXXX's application. The office will contact XXXXXXXXXXXXXX concerning this decision.

SO it looks like I should be getting my COPR sooner rather than later. This process is almost over!! :) Good luck to all still waiting!! Grin Tongue

That's awesome for you! Odd though that I haven't gotten a PPR and my application has been in process since September 10, 2013. What are the odds of not getting a PPR? I guess we'll keep waitin'.

Thank you! Would that mean no interview as well? I will definitely get on sending the passport. Good luck to you as well. :)

CONGRATS!!!! You are less than 2 weeks ahead of me and it appears that I should have my COPR anytime now. It's exciting seeing everyone getting their PR's. Good luck with everything!! :)

As it turns out we did get a PPR on September 9, 2013. I emailed CPP-O on Friday and received a response saying they were waiting on my passport. Great. I never got it in my email. This is the second time I have not received anything. The first time was AOR for sponsorship. I have no idea where to send my passport. If anyone could shed any light, that'd be wonderful!

Also is it just the photo page that is scanned and sent?

I will send you a PM cut/paste of my PPR. Look for it in a minute.

Looks like I'm getting my COPR any day now!
I got that same status update that Buffy did, however they finished reviewing my file on September 9th!

This is great news!

PS - in terms of the spreadsheet - i guess that means I got it Sept. 9th
Whooooop!

Once I get the letter, it's time to start the OHIP process.
