I just saw you are landing mid-Spetember. GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS :) We are just outside of Toronto. Where are you going to be settling?

OMG!! Decision made!! so what now?? :)

Hey guys,
I haven't been here for a while :)
My application has been moving forward at snail pace :(
Can somebody please update my timeline in the spreadsheet?
I have listed my timeline below. What is the general process post this stage? I have emailed the embassy but have not heard anything from them. My ecas status still says 'Application Received'.
I am so sick & tired of this wait! Ughh!

Visa Office......: Abu Dhabi
App. Filed.......: 02-02-2013
AOR Received.: 28-03-2013

Hello all,

Congratulations to those that recently got there COPR! - great stuff.

I just check on ecas for our application and we went 'in process' on August 19th and it states the medicals have been received. - I am just wondering if anyone can shed a bit of light in relation to their application as to how long it typically takes to go from 'in process' to the much awaited 'Decision made'?

Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Welcome back dear friend. To make you feel better let me inform you that no one from our VO Vienna has received even a simple email from this office. Including members from December 2012.
Hopefully now that summer holidays are over, things might start moving a little faster

Regards
Tom

Hello there my good friend Messenger!
How are you doing sir? Well, i just dropped by to share something about the PAFSO strike. I've been watching and reading every news over the internet about the strike. A few weeks ago they went on a hearing, and now the decision has been made. http://www.psac-afpc.com/news/2013/bargaining/20130830d-e.shtml

So i guess since they got what they want, I am assuming that by 2nd week of September, everything will go back to normal? I am hoping that since they have caused us some delays, they will do extra efforts to make the processing more faster. The strike did a good number on the economic status of Canada. And i heard that they are prioritizing incoming students from outside Canada since summer vacation is over. Oh well, what can do but to wait. Just sharing.

Hi kazuma. Really nice to see you back my friend.
It was a very difficult summer here for everyone due to the strike of many VO's. Some Vo's though even if they were on strike they continued working and many people here even from Manila received their COPR.
Some other VO's are not affected by the strike and are in business as always. My VO Vienna did not take part in the strike as well but so far has not given a single PR to anyone! Ironic?
Thank you for the info re the strike!
