Hi guys,

Finally our ordeal is over...! Our redone application arrived 2 days ago at CPC-Mississauga!

And.......

Today 17 April 2013 I got my sponsorship approval and the paperwork was forwarded to the Singapore visa office!! Yoo hoo!! ^^

congrats! must be a huge relief eh? Also, I think we are the only two applicants that had the applications forwarded to Singapore :) Hopefully the wait isn't crazy. :)

Hello everyone...

I just wanted to know what u guys are doing here in Canada while your visa is in process? Am I the only one who couldn't get a visa to be able to work? Haha ;D
I personally do absolutely nothing all day every day, I am bored out of my mind.. And to think I have to do this for the next x- months drives me nuts! :'( Poor boyfriend has to support me for who knows how long haha.

I will not be able to work and I am anticipating the boredom to follow!! lol I currently work 2 jobs so the thought of sitting still will drive me insane. I an thinking about volunteering at my son's school since I can't work until I get my PR status. I am going to try to take up some hobbies too. Not sure what yet, lol

Just thought Id paste my inquiry here too.

Hi guys,

While waiting for my husband's Visa, I am trying to look for a possible job that he could possibly have once he lands.
I have been talking to different employers, and I am wondering if I should get them to sign a job offer letter for my husband.
Do you think it is good to let the Visa Office know about a job offer? Like he will not be a bum when he gets here?
Or is it a negative implication that he is too opportunistic and is looking forward to land a job than to be reunited with spouse?

Comments and suggestions are highly appreciated.

Sounds like a good plan but volunteering is not ok on visitor visa haha as stupid as that sounds like!! :(

Hi dear

I feel how you are! Unfortunately I cannot give you much of advice as me and my spouse are in Europe but I can only recommend to take on some kind of community courses or volunteer into some organization. This will fill your time and maybe you can gain some satisfaction of doing something useful.

Regards

Tom

Hi Iay dear

Of course you can contact potential employers for the hubby. Its nice to do that and it will give him an idea what he can expect.
As for notifying CIC I am not the authority on this but I believe this is not of interest to them. Why complicate things? Their objective is to screen your hubby that he is going to be with you and they know eventually he will be looking for work.
I wouldn't !! .......my opinion though!

Hello and welcome

Didn't you receive an email confirming the applications been accepted by CIC-M?

Your Ecas i believe is informing you of an AOR. (Acknowledge of Receipt) it means they have received your package. And also that the your Applicant's medicals have been received.
Now you should get your SA (Sponsor approval) but i am surprised why you didn't get it yet
