Well job would have been a better luck.
As already given a SA, can write a cover letter saying that you dont want to jeopardize your PR application as it will be invalid if you try to stay more than required period of TRV.
Also a return ticket might also help.

Well the chances are very little but it all depends on the cover letter and how genuine it is to the officer looking at it

This is what me & my wife were contemplating too, but after consultation with a lot of folks incl. immigration lawyers we dropped the idea as there is a 99% likelihood of being rejected as they would prefer you to wait for the decision on the PR first. Even my wife quit her job recently and that's a pretty major tie back to your home country. Let's say you have an invitation letter/tickets/statements showing income, they likely will still reject it on grounds that you have a current application pending, so you must first wait for the decision on that.

Best of luck if you were to pursue it, but my advise would be to just wait it out.

I spoke to one of the immigration consultant and he gave me a lot of hope saying it was possible and I'm not sure how and why? I really wanna wait for the PR but since I know it's gonna take forever.. I'm restless.. Thanks for you help though

I subscribed to e-Cas tracker a couple of days ago and last night I was looking at online services to check for any updates but Nada!
Suddenly a couple of hours ago I received an email from the tracker informing of new updates.

Checked and system was updated informing me that I passed the SA stage (Decision Made and Medicals Received)

Whoaaa. They are working today. I wish for you guys to have good news and see lots of SA's coming

Medicals received is from Mississauga or the VO? I mean do the medicals go first to Mississauga or to the responsible VO. i remember when my spouse passed her medicals examinations in January the secretary there told us that the results will go to the VO.

it used to go to the VO straight but now it's a centralized electronic system, so all results go to CIC and appear in ecas much faster. it doesn't mean that the "medicals have been passed" - they can asked for more medical info later on, but it means that they have received it and matched it with your file.
But - spouses are "excessive medical demand exempts", which means that the medicals are not a reason enough to refuse a PR - if the spouse has a contagious disease, CIC will demand proofs of treatment etc, but won't deny the visa because of that (a lot of other immigration classes have to prove more on the medical side, but spousal doesn't).

Another question if you don't mind dear.
In my SA and guess in everyone's SA it says that You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing

Do they send all the Applicant's apps and proofs to the VO by regular mail individually or they wait for others and send them in batches?

I am not asking out of anxiety but only out of curiosity.

Hey guys I need your help here! I'm about to apply for a U.S visitors visa. (I used to work in a small bank in Boston,MA for several years, and was always a good resident there...so I'm pretty sure they would give me one) I'm currently in Canada on a Visitor's visa and it expires in two years, however my current stay will be valid through the beginning of June (six months from the date I entered into the country)

My question is, if I get the US Visitor's visa and travel to somewhere say New York City for several days before my current stay expires, would I have any problem returning to Canada? I personally don't see any reason why they wouldn't allow me in as my visa will still be valid until 2014... If so, does that mean I don't have to extend my status because I would be able to get another 6 months when I re-enter?
