After a long time, my application status changed to "In Process" this week.

Now, I am waiting for additional document request letter as I moved to USA and did not send my passport and visa copy papers. I sent scanned copy but I heard that VO does not open the attached pdf file. Is that true?

Thanks,
Shamim

Thanks a ton skyframer11. This is very informative.

So far the reasons for the long waiting (mainly for pre June 2010) I can gather are:

1) The Pre June, 2010 applications are considered as the 2nd priority, while the Post June, 2010 are 1st priority. Because the officials said the Post June, 2010 fit current Canadian labour market needs. [Source from VO's email]
2) Between Feb 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision. The number of the applications is double than they expected and could handle. [Source from VO's email]
3) Training or staff changes in some VOs in 2010, which slowed down the processing time. [Source from general discussions]
4) The general, up to 64-week, waiting period after (2nd) AOR. [Source from VO's email]
5) Reduction in Funding. The Conservative government has announced it intends slashing $4 billion in annual spending from the federal budget, raising fears of further cuts to the immigration system. More than $50 million was slashed this year in settlement services. [Source from thestar.com. Thanks to jnathan & qorax]

Congratulations.

IN Process with same RBVO details.?
OR
IN Process with starting date.?

Those who has In Process status but RBVO details inside from 19th July,2011, any update? Any change inside? Anyone in such case, gets MR?

Hi guys. Long time i was not able to visit our forum. Hows things here? February2010... Mine is still stuck in RBVO. Najeem_jee, where are you my friend?

ShamimBD,

usually people send paper documents in snail mail to CHC's.
better to send a snail mail now whether or not that rumor is true or false.
order CAIPS to know your BF''d date.

You and I have got the same timeline. my BF'd was in last April.
I am thinking to reapply for CAIPS in February 2012.

skyframer,

Good Analysis.

wait wait wait wait ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

kuch to karo yaar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing to do except waiting.
our predecessors of pre 2008 have waited for 5 long years.
We wont have to wait that long, may be 2-3 yrs from the day we submitted our full docs.

Well...pretty silent here for all Pre-June. Now it is Aug. 2011. No one got new updates? The data from Trackiit looks not promising.
They say we can make further request on the processing status IF our waiting time exceeds the average processing time posted on the web. The problem is that average processing time seems keep rising up simultaneously... Mathematically it is bit hard to exceed. So in the coming months we still need to wait without questions.

I think VO have stopped working on pre june and esp the applicant having NOC which is not on their priority right now, instead of it they r processing 2007 and 2006 applicants now.what do u think Jnathan?

Hi Man In Black,

They have issued more than enough of 0213, 0111, 4131's in 2010 and very early 2011.
if I had a busy and tired day, the next thing I'd do after returning to my home would be get in the bed and sleep for 8-9 hours. CIC is sleeping for 8-9 months or more now.

Just gotta wait. We already know the reason for the delay as they have clearly mentioning that they are following the priority list.
