Employment verification:
What should one do if one their previous employers has gone out of business? What is considered a credible proof of employment in a scenario such as this - would contact information of/or letter from one of the colleagues/manager from that employer without all the details asked for suffice.
The reference letter is supposed to provide the following information:
- roles and responsibilities
- job title
- salary, including bonuses
- period of employment
- hours worked (30hrs/week, for example)
If you can't get a reference letter, you need to find some other way to prove each of these points.
A letter from a former colleague must be notarised.
