Actually received a mail on Tuesday that my application has been updated. logged on to myCIC and didn't find anything. Tried a couple of times and still no update.

I got email from cic today that there is update on my file and advised to sign in to my cic account for more information. But I didn't find any new message in my cic account. Is any one has same experience and wat it means.

Someone on the forums did say that whenever an officer opens your file, the program will treat that as an update and email you. Treat it as work being done on your application. It's a good sign.

Quite possible - this happened same day I sent my passport to the VO through VFS.

You will get it soon. Another 6 days max. I guess you will do your landing formalities on your re-entry to Canada from India. Right?

Because, if you flagpole before leaving to India, there is a another procedure to enter Canada back as you may not be having PR card(although you are PR). Of course, this is applicable only in case you are traveling before getting PR card.

Received my GCMS Notes today (requested May06). Not too much information in it though from what I can tell and it seems like the GCMS Notes was generated on May07 (the day after I put in the request) but they would only send it to you after 30 days.

My timeline is as followed:
Jan01: Created EE Profile
Mar27: Received ITA for FSW (In Canada, CRS Score 469)
Mar30: Medical completed
Apr03: Submitted Application
Apr03: Status “Opened”
Apr03: Review of eligibility in progress
Apr07: Review of medical results in progress
Apr07: Background check in progress
Apr10: Medical Results Passed
Apr10: ECAS activated: We received your application for permanent residence on January 1, 2015. We started processing your application on February 20, 2015.
Apr15: ECAS Update: We have received your medical.
May06: GCMS Notes Requested
May07: BOWP Online Application Submitted
Jun02: 1st AOR Received
Jun05: GCMS Notes Received

hey i got my passport back in a weeks time....it doesnt include the shipping time.. just the process took 6 days exact and two days of shipping time so in all 10 days...best of luck..

If I understand correctly, you will return to Canada on July 5th from India. If that's the case, you would most probably not receive your PR card. Then, you may have to follow some other process. The border officer told this to me when I was doing flagpole.

If my assumption is right, you better do your landing formalities on your way back to Canada that is on July 5th.

Hi do you guys know usually how long I can expect ECAS to have my application status ? Coz after a month and a week waiting, finally I got my medical passed. And which number do u use for checking ECAS? I used the one E000315185 there is no info. I submitted last yr in November and after I got back there's a UCI which one should I use to check? Thank you so much

Filled out the details in pdf, printed, signed and then scanned and uploaded the copy

did you get any additional docs request recently?

I submitted new Police Certificate by myself, because I wasn't told by CIC for additional document. However, I have already submitted PC which is kind of expired but I added explanation latter to CIC when I submitted my application.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (490 CAD/person for principal applicant and spouse)
