no one knows fro sure, I'm stuck with 474 points and try to comfort myself with the thoughts that the scores will get lower. Let's hope that they still need skilled migrants even in the wake of a crisis.

The CRS system is full of mess and finally they are paying some attention to correct and balance this system which is dropping international students even with 2 years of Canadian experience in high skill jobs A, B, and 0. I hope these changes would come soon and grant 600 points for anyone who got university education in Canada.

During Newcomers Canada Fair in Edmonton CIC officials announced that in next couples of month the draws will be smaller in numbers and higher in score, but starting from September or later the round will count around 2000+ ITA's with the score likely to decrease.

The immigration targets are bound to change because of the changes in economy. The whole country is reeling under unemployment. The average unemployment rate has gone up to 7.8%. Alberta is down. Oil and gas town is up in flames (80000 people unemployed as a result).

I don't expect scores to come down soon. Especially in May and Sep many students pass out and get work permits.

I think soon there will be express entry draw forecast apps for iPhone like weather apps. They will forecast the probability of having a draw everyday and what would be the score.

I assume it would be as inaccurate as weather apps lol

yes, this guy confirmed my thoughts that those who get drawn from the pool at this point are people with PhD, speaking both English and French and with Canadian Experience.
However he also said that by October they'll be drawing 2000-2500 people and the scores might drop lower than 400!
However, he also said that currently they were drawing with scores about 450 and 420 (I definitely heard him saying 420), but that's just not true - there hasn't been a draw with scores that low... So can we trust him on scores dropping in September/October?

Probably he doesn't remember the exact figures, because he also said the last draw was 540 (534 really). But overall trend seems to be clear.
Though it's not the officially published info, everything can change.
