Hi, I am wondering what are the expected timings from submission to final approval of spouse sponsorship applications outside Canada?.
Can sponsor leave canada once sponsor approval is completed?

No one can really give you an expected time. IRCC states a year.

Some people said their case was processed in 5 months, some said 7-8 months although IRCC states 12.
I was wondering if they are speeding up these days. I tried to get an estimate from the spreadsheet but could not conclude much.

Can't even make a guess without knowing which VO, anything about your relationship, any red flags etc.

forget the spreadsheets...its pointless to compare your app with others

just expect yours will take up to 12 months as per the processing times posted on the CIC website

It's case by case. We've got a straightforward application and it's been 9 months. Others are much faster. No way to tell.

9 months includes getting passport back with visa? right
