Hi Guys,

i am relatively new on this forum, was just reading a few old post when ppl were going on about whats the future on the CRS point etc etc.... pls understand canada immigration in all about money ... its the biggest money spinner and earner for the govt, the current economic condition also does not help much with crude price being all time low, and expected to further tank with Iran intervention and with the new govt in power with all the promises they have made to the people ...it needs the immigrants money ... there are "no free lunches"... how the CRS point would react in the future is a million dollar questions... but what is certain is that ppl between 400 - 450 points would keep getting province invites as the govt makes more money that way ... e.g cad 1500 for Ontario... they would want ppl to come in through this route who are below 450 points and the ones above through the regular route ... take the sum total of both the invite and then plan the next step... presently they have huge back log in PR card issuing, Invites, AOR etc etc .... govt also does not want to flood the country with immigrants and then look after them next year onwards, coz there are no jobs for them to do.

just my 2 cents ............

Just go ahead and send the OINP application. This way you will be safe as there is no guarantee that the scores might drop so soon.

Go for the nomination ....I had the same score and it was the maximum I would get without masters or french.... scores wont reach 441 before end of march at least ... there are 12000+ people at least between 441 and 449 ...

If you do not mind staying in Ontario and are in a hurry for immigration ..... go for the PNP

Hi all,
I entered the pool 3 times as I had some corrections to be made plus was not able to collect documents on time to respond PT invitation.

Proud to share today I finally sent the completed package. Preparing the package was so unnerving... I did everything I could to ensure completeness of my file. Now, my wait begins. In the meanwhile I pray for scores to fall down to 440 at least :)

Good luck to my fellow Applicants.

Thanx for the reply guys ... Will try to meet the deadline of 31st Jan (though it looks really challenging as of now)
Now is there a thread on this forum that helps you in how to go about filling ur ONP as I'm doing it without the help of any agency ??
Eg if the documents need to be notarised or not? (Documents which are in English)

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi all,

I am at 409.

I have a query regarding POF.

I got my PT notification of interest from OINP two weeks before. My husband is working on Closed Work Permit in Ontario for the past two years, his WP is valid till January 2017. I am on Open Work Permit, but unemployed.

We applied for Express entry last month, with me as the principal applicant, because, my husband's CELPIP score was not enough to enter the pool. I got qualified under FSWP category (I have over 2 years of work experience back home).

So, my question is, can I show my husband's salary as Proof of Funds (we have joint acct in td), since we are already living here in Canada for the past 2 years? Or, do I have to show $15,000 as POF? Any help is much appreciated :)

I am sitting at 444.

Created EE on January 19th. Waiting for the PT NOI. I meet all the eligibility. Has been living in ontario since 2008. 2008-2013 (university). 2014 till now working. I think that is strong enough ties to prove.

Do you guys happen to know whats the chance of being approved for PT NOI?

Ties are optional. They are good to have.

FYI, since you are currently working in Ontario, you are exempt from showing POF. I'd say your chances are good as any other - As long as you provide proper documentation, you are good to go. Ontario's rejection rate is relatively less compared to that of other provinces.
