OOPNP CRITERIA IS EITHER U SHUD HAVE CRS 400 OR MORE OTHETWISE U SHUD B EXPERT IN FRENCH LANGUAGE. IF U FULLFILL THESE N UR PROFESSION IS DEMANDING THEN OOPN WILL SEND U THE NOMINATION LETTER. THERE IS FULL CHANCE FOR NEPALI WITH 400 ABOVE SCORE. MY OPINION ONLY.
Further to this CRS 400 stuff the profile must have been created on or after June 1, 2015. :)

I suggest you guys to go for Saskatchewan Nominee program's express entry sub-category to extract that 600 points for PNP. Hurry up, the cap is filling out.

By the way why do u need FBI report. Just out of curiosity. Since ee doesn't need it. Anyways back to or question I don't know exactly where it is done but I can suggest where to look for. In Nepal there r two forensic lab one at khumaltar lalitpur n other at police hospital forensic lab lazimpat. So search for number thru 197 n enquire abt it. If it isn't there then at least u will have clue where else to search for.

Thanks! We lived in US for several years and need an FBI report to prove we have no criminal history. EE does not ask for it while creating the profile, but if you receive an ITA you need to upload it. Apparently, FBI takes 3 months to process it so we are trying to get a head start on this.

I guess you can call US Embassy in Kathmandu and ask them. I assume that you can also download a request form from FBI website and send by regular mail by putting all your 10 finger prints on it.
I would be also interested to know about this as I have to send FBI report provided I get an ITA.
Are you guys also applying for OOPNP ?

Thanks.

Well I thought that we could do exactly what you're suggesting: take our own fingerprints and just mail the form. I wish it was that easy! Obviously, you need an official person verifying your identity otherwise you could put anyone's fingerprints on your form and claim as yours.

I got in touch with US Embassy and they do the fingerprinting!

You need to schedule an appointment with a consular officer (through email) explaining the situation. During the appointment they will take your fingerprints and verify your identity, BUT that's all they will do. You still need to mail the form to FBI yourself together with the payment of 18 USD. US Embassy charges USD 85 for taking fingerprints :/ It's expensive, but after extensive research I did not find any other place in Kathmandu that does it.

Potentially (and this is not verified), you could do it through Nepali Police, but it will take at least 2 weeks and lots of hassle. US Embassy gave us an appointment within 3 days of our inquiry.

Honestly, if you have a decent level of English, which you should in the first place to qualify, you will be able to handle EE by yourself, without a consultancy. Those are very popular in Nepal, though I am not quite sure why. They certainly cannot help you get a job (legally at least), nor can they increase your points. So you might as well put your money towards your PR costs instead. From what I've seen (and read) on this forum, the whole process is fairly straightforward as long as you pay attention to the instructions.
Good luck!

Yes. I am but I joined there due to compulsion. I was stuck on the wes payment n cudnt find any help from this forum. In Nepal payment method for foreign transaction is really a head ache. I joined global visa at baneshwor pay in 25000. That price I paid just for a piece of advice of payment. But I suggest no one shud join any consultancies since the process is very easy n well stated in the website n for help this forum is more than enough.

I am at 417. This EE has been a nightmare. Damn 0.5 marks in writing has costed me the ITA. The scores would have been 475 from 417. Slowly loosing hope.

Good to find fellow EE candidates from Nepal on this forum.

Yes, if you spend some-time reading on this forum and doing some inquiry you do not need to pay a hefty amount for consultancy. And, I have been doing it all on my own except I paid NRs. 500 to attend a conference few months back on EE.

I have a score of 431 and I have submitted my application for OOPNP but have not received any words from them yet. This is the only hope I have as I don't think the score will come down to around 430 anytime soon.

Regarding FBI fingerprinting, 85 USD is a hefty amount. I will make an inquiry regarding Nepal police and see if it works.

Good Luck to everyone. How about we create a whatsapp or some kind of group from Nepal ?

I have a question regarding the Express entry profile.
In the IELTS score section, are we supposed to write our points shown in the IELTS certificate or the CLB points( after conversion into CLB points)?
Can someone kindly answer this?

Thanks
