Hi Guys,

Does any one have the same timeline and status like below? Is it normal? My visa office is London and my current eCAS Status is "IN PROCESS" as of late March 2011

  • We received your application for permanent residence on October 21, 2009.
  • We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 22, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  • Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review. (This was in March 2010, and within the 120 days limit)
  • We transferred your application to the London England office on December 30, 2009. The London England office may contact you.
  • In Late March 2011, my eCAS status changed to "IN PROCESS" but nothing new was added to detailed history
  • I have NOT received any 2nd AOR's or any communication for that matter from London Visa Office
  • I have NOT received medical request forms

Thanks
Hamed

i think it says certified copy of the document and not the translation.
When I filed my application I did the notary for the translations as well.
To be on the safe side you may consider this option.
Also you can take opinion from seniors on the forum like captain Qorax, Biju
And you can look at this link also;

but this vo form is no more valid for FSW.

Hi,
A question from a friend:

I have read somewhere (can'r remember where) that when the Canadian immigration visa expires (before landing) and there is new addition in the family, the application for immigration needs to be made again for everyone, following the new rules in place at the time.

Can anyone confirm this?

If the Canadian visa Expires before landing then all the applicants will have to go through the process again...the best way to do is to contact the CIC or VO processing your papers to ask for intructions should you be expecting a baby. If your wife is pregnant and the visas are already issued...in my opinion, assuming the pregnancy si less than 7 months by the time of your travel to canada, i think she can land in Canada and give birth in canada as well...just go ask the VO to be sure on this and present your case clearly.

Qorax
Dear Qorax,

One more thing i want to share is that I have submitted my wife's National Identity Card (NIC) having written on it "Name...X" "daughter of.... Y" ( as it was the NIC before our marriage ) when i filed my case previous year.
Now i have changed her NIC on my name i.e "Name...X" "Wife of ....Y"
Note:- The NIC number remains the same..
So does it matter to CHC?
Secondly her passport is from the old NIC but is valid( the one i submitted to CHC) ..so do you suggest i have to change her passport too on my name..????or i should go with the same as it is valid?? or when CHC request for the PPR ,then i would provide them with the new one stating "wife of...Y" along with the previous passport stating "Daughter of....Y" including a cover letter..????????????
Plz guide me if i go on with the previous valid passport stating her father name then would that be fine to get PR on it? or i have to change that on my name ?lastly if have to change then at what stage, before the PPR or right now and submit it to them.

Thanks

WS

Dear Qorex,

I got my e-status change to In Process in June. When status change to In Process means ur Background checked already and Ur Medical is about to come?? If so how long it takes for Medical Request....Other meaning of in process is that your file in on the table now for consideration and ready for back ground check?? Which one is right.. though it already get almost a year to become IN Process after getting my 2nd AOR....

Waiting for ur valueable reply!!!!!!!

"In Process" = B/ground checks r "On" [Going On... not completed, or about to start]

Thank you so mucch Qorex,

Any Idea about that how long normally they took for B.ground check and how long we can expect for medical. and Normally what mostly they see in Background check? as my wife who is principal applicant just now change her job and we are thinking 2 send chc the information about her new jobs... some one told me that their more concern in back ground check is criminal investigations and degrees rather then running after ur jobs background checks?? what do u say??? Is it really matter if they got to know she left the latest shown job in our file before we send any information about the new job??? thanks!!!

Dear Qorax and other seniors

Regarding translation of documents

I have got the same done by an individual who has submitted an affidavit that he is not related to me
also does the translation need to be attested by notary (because it is not the copy of the original but only a translation)

regards
