Hi All,

Do we need an ECA report for our spouse or can we apply without the ECA report for Spouse/Dependent.

Thanks

Yes, you need the ECA for your wife.

Absolutely incorrect, the depedents' ECA is not mandatory.

Depends upon whether or not you are claiming any points for spouse education. Which is the case for most applicants. Why wouldn’t you want to claim extra points? Therefore, ECA for spouses education is needed.

The OP is not asking whether he needs it to claim points, he is asking whether he can apply without it, which he can.

Do we get extra points if we have ECA for spouse. My current score is 419

Yes. If your wife is a graduate or post-graduate, you should definitely claim those extra points. For that you would definitely need an ECA for your wife. You should also check if you are already claiming those points or not. In any case, whenever you enter your wife’s education details in the system, they will ask for an ECA.

Of course you can and if you already got 419 without claiming points from your spouse' education, you definitely should! Given the last Rounds of Invitation scores, if you get closer to 430 territory, you are in striking distance for an NOI.

Meanwhile, you absolutely don't have to have your spouse's ECA to apply if you are confident that 419 is enough. It's your decision.

You must mention it in the personal history section, you can leave the education section blank.

Sorry to bug. So i mention none or less than secondary in Study or Work tab, but in the personal history section, i should mention that in past 10 years she got BSC and MPhil right?. Am i right in understanding.

No idea what you mean (the bolded part).

Yes, mention her BSC and MPhil in the personal history section.
