Hello Everyone,

I have applied for dependent child sponsorship, but in AOR mail the UCI number they mentioned is actually my UCI number. When do we get the UCI number for my child? Is it after sponsorship approval?

Actually I need to apply for visitors visa for my child as the PR processing time is longer. I can use the new UCI for faster processing of visitors visa.

You will see that in their medical request form. Which you will get along with or after sponsorship approval. I got both on same day.

I thought 1 year old don't need bimeteric and medical. But I see many such posts.

Can anyone confirm if 1 year old need Biometric and medicals for PR (both parents PR, dependent child only application?

I assume you are talking about PR sponsorship, if so, Medicals - yes. You will get a letter after sponsorship approval. If this is for TRV, then no Medicals.
No biometrics for 1 year old.

Yes, I was asking about sponsoring his PR. He is US citizen and already with us in Canada.

One more thing, do we get AOR within a day (like in case of EE) or it takes time? Like someone evaluates the application and then approve AOR

Yes, AoR takes time. 4 weeks atleast. I got mine in 4 weeks, which is in the faster category.

Completed the Medical on Dec-16. Updated in portal on Dec-19. Logged in today and can see COPR details...no email yet

How were you able to check the status for your dependent PR? I still see them as submitted in my PR portal login, however they have got their medicals and we have completed medicals last week.

You need to sign up for the portal. Google IRCC portal

Yes, I checked in IRCC portal as well, I only see the visitor visa status. But not the PR status. Do I need add their application ID somehow?

Are you using the correct UCI number?

Have you received the AOR for the PR application?

Yes, completed medicals as well. So far it was all email communications

hello everyone,

I just submitted my dependent sponsorship for my child on Nov, 2024. No AOR or anything until now, does anyone know how long does it take to get AOR?
beside, when I submitted the fee for application, it only cost sponsorship fee, processing fee and biomeric. I though the only payment miss permenant residence fee for sponsoring dependent child, am I right???? Do I have to pay PR Fee for sponsoring my dependent?

Or the results will get automatically link to my application later?

If you did the medical exam based on IRCC medical request and submitted the form (IMM1017, I think) along with it, then it will be automatically linked. If you are doing a pre-medical test, then you need to upload when you submit the application.
