Now, about the nomination numbers; 2700 was the quota for 2015 (EE streams alone). We do not know the quota for 2016 as it is not explicitly mentioned anywhere, so let us assume OINP was allotted 2700 slots for 2016 as well. Please note that the quota is for the number of nominations (not for the number of AORs or the number of applications received).

You say that 2700 + 2700 = 5400 nominations for 2015/2016 combined. Yes this could be the case IF the nominations from 2015 were carried over to 2016. Out of the 2015 quota, only 870 odd nominations were issued. 2700 - 870 = 1830 nominations might have been carried over to this year. This could be the case because this number closely aligns with the number of applications received in Jan 2016 alone - which is 1800 applications.

Now, the real challenge is to issue nominations to all these people - There are hell a lot of them. Officers:Applicants ratio would be unbelievably crazy.

So, if they decide to exhaust the quota, they might have to issue 1830 + 2700 = 4530 nominations to EE stream applicants alone (includes Human Capital Priorities Stream and French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream). This is a monstrous task, IMO.

I will make the mathematics simple

Total remaining nominations = 4530
Nomination they give/yr = 870 ( their capacity)

Balance = 3660 carried forward to 2017 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I hope Raj is wrong about the wait, too. But I don't see how OINP can speed things up. They do seem to be short on staff, and they have landed themselves in a thick hot soup issuing so many PTs.

The fact is I dont think they could have screwed up so badly that they issues multiple times their allotted PT's. Lets not consider them incompetent yet. The fact that CIC/IRCC has reduced the number of ITA's per draw at the same time and was dealing with the 25,000 Syrian refugees definitely has something to do with it. Lets give them the benefit of the doubt.

Also, if CIC/IRCC wanted to clear the backlog of existing cases and reduced the number of ITAs, wouldn't they give priority to those who they deem 'qualified'? I.e., those who had high enough scores to get the ITA directly. In such a case, allowing provincial nominations will mean that those guys will never get ITA because they can never compete with nomination cases..

Bottom line, CIC/IRCC has said they will have normal draws from october, so I wouln't get my hopes up till then

Secondly in my time line you see 15th November which is expected by me for my nomination, where as 15th July is the date expected for the First nomination of December group

Well again a hasty reply. Next time take your time to reply as I am not that easy to understand.

How can a logic of the entire group be the same as logic of an Individual. My life, my fate, my happenings are different. So I know I am always late in achieving anything in life and I don't achieve until I put a dead end. So 15th November is my deadline. I wont be surprised if I get nomination after 90 days from 15th Nov.

And yes...what's there in a name? Never heard of a name speak anything.
