December Application OINP

Hi all,

I just came across this thread after wondering what's going on with those of us who sent in our OINP application in Dec 2015.

Here is my timeline:

CRS 469
EE App Submitted: OCT/18/2015
OINP App Submitted: DEC/02/2015
OINP AOR and updated AOR: APR/04/2016
OINP Nomination: Waiting
ITA: Waiting

I got a call in the middle of August from an Officer asking for my renewed Work Permit. I haven't received any further updates since then. Most of the responses to my query are the generic ones of your application hasn't been finalized yet.

I had applied to the Human Capital Priorities under CEC - is anyone else in the same boat as me?

Hey, it expired at the end of July. I had just gotten my extension at the end of July as well, but I got a call in August asking if I am still living and working here legally. So for now, I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I just hope I get some good news before my Express entry profile expires, which is in another month...

It normally takes up to One month after you receive a call to get nomination. Hope you get it soon.

Yes one FSW Dec 15 applicant has got a phone call and than additional doc req. After that file moved to Decision phase.

The only progress we have seen in last month after the AOR process, is that some applicants of November and some of CEC from Dec to April, received phone calls and their files moved to Decision phase. None of those file is still converted to nomination. It just unbelievable they take so much time. Ultimately they have to process thousands of files !!! Are they serious ? :-X :-X

Yes, that's exactly what they told me as well, that my file has moved to the decision phase. I'm not sure what all they are deciding exactly, given that they have everything they need per applicant in such cases... oh well. It's a very slow process. I never thought that it could or would take nearly an entire year to be granted a nomination, without having your package returned to you

Hope you get nomination soon. More they delay it becomes scary for others ....they are in thousands waiting. I think even one year would be a great deal now.

Any new hopes, predictions; When the AoR's like excitement, jubilant days return with NoMs' :'( :'( :'(

There is a lull, lack of activity. High time OINP!!! feat like AoR's.

I submitted OPNP application from India in Dec 2015 and in June 2016 i received an e-mail saying the demand draft expired and had requested for the new DD, which i sent immediately. I have not received any communication after that, anyone has gone through this? How much more time you think it could take for me to receive ITA.

You would first receive a nomination. Once the nomination comes in and you accept it, your CRS will grow by 600 points. Once that happens, you will get an ITA in the subsequent draw.

About the DD, others who have done it can advise you.
