Does anybody have the fax number for OINP?

I still haven't heard anything from them and I'm thinking of sending them a fax. Frankiefun did not mention the number in the last post and I honestly cannot remember if it was mentioned previously in this thread.

Thanks.

I think the remaining 10 applicants should fax to get their information. I see that Fax is responded sooner as compared to emails(forget calling them, nothing is shared over the phone). I am sure the AORs were forgotten to be sent. Looking at the trend and the analysis this is the most probable reason. Of course there are exceptions to it. but lets talk positive. I wish them all the best.

My question may sound silly; Still :'( :'( :-X :-X Please consider replying.

Are the AOR's issued to applicants after complete review, assessment, verification of the following.

1. Work experience, NOC, employment agreements, reference letters etc,
2. Education credentials, WES ECA
3. IELTs
4. Settlement funds
5. Resume, passport copy, pics, birth certicate, marriage certificate

While I agree that Inland applicants should be given priority, the US H1 visa doesn't convert to a PR visa automatically. They too have a process - EB2/EB3 are the common categories through which skilled workers apply for PR. When it comes to the waiting period, you cannot even compare Canada's waiting period with the waiting period you have to go through in the US. Let me explain.

US has a country based quota for getting PR. An average Indian with a Bachelor's/Master's degree has to wait around 12 years after lodging the PR application (EB3/EB2 category). Can these wait times be compared - 12 years for US PR processing and 6 months to one year for Canada PR? No, I don't think so.

The applicants can remain and work in the US until a decision is made on their PR application (similar to Canada - applicants are allowed to extend their WP (via BOWP) and remain in Canada if they have submitted a PR application and their completeness check (R10) is done).

Here is the link to the visa bulletin for July 2016 - https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/law-and-policy/bulletin/2016/visa-bulletin-for-july-2016.html
Its the EB2 or EB3 takes 10-12 years in USA while you are allowed to stay and work legally in USA.

You can process your open work permit after you have applied for PR and receive the file number in Canada.

But here we are discussing about OINP. Does the AOR number guarantee you to stay and work in Canada? I guess you know the answer.

So OINP nomination and PR or EB2/EB3 is not comparable at all.

I feel most frustrated when it reminds me the amount I spend for this purpose and the money is completely white and hard earned for me.

AOR is only issued after a completeness check, but not assessment or verification.

@MZASAM Pre-Aor is just simple completeness check. From the case officer initials in recent AORs, you must have noticed that it's currently being done by temporary back office staff.

Post-AOR starts the "Assessment Phase", where the Investigator/Analyst officer will actually review the documents and most likely will ask for updated POFs, salary slips and seek any clarification. They will validate the documents for authenticity (call up bank or employer or whatever as per their process). The officer will note down his comments and findings in the file.

If there are no major issue identified, then the file goes to "Decision Phase". Here the Senior officer will review the file and findings & comments of Assessment officer. If he/she is 200% satisfied, the file is cleared for nomination.

I never compared the AOR status of OINP and EB2/EB#. EB2 and EB3 are categories under the federal immigration organization USCIS(which is equivalent to Canada's IRCC). Applicants can extend their work permit and stay in Canada once they have filed their PR application (and R10 is set to complete) and I don't understand how this is not similar to applying for a GC in the US and being able to stay there until a decision is made on the application. Its the same thing - If you have lodged a PR application, you get to live and work in the country legally until a decision is made on the application. If the decision is negative, the applicant has to look for other options; otherwise, all is good. Its the same thing.

In my opinion, there are two options:
1) OINP will start with nominations as soon as they finish with AORs.
2) when draws will be larger
