Just an update....

Got receipt for my new Bank draft
OINP receiving date : 8-July
Receipt Received : 14-July

OINP didn't mention anything about refund of old Draft in the receipt email

Hey, which address did you send the new DD?

Mention the 2nd Address which is 5th floor. This is the correct address

I got an Email with a subject "receipt - Case no XXYYZZ" same way i received my AOR

Hi all, after the request for new DD on 5 July, I submitted one on 8 July and received a new receipt on 14 July.
No news on old DD.

Old Dd will reach you in 15 days, wait for the couriers as they do not inform tracking number.

Same here kulyoma, Will probably receieve next week. Maged_m got his old DD back approximately 9 days after the receipt so just going to wait and see

@akmoolah and kulyoma. There is no complaint regarding the the Receipt of old Dd, so everyone gets it fast and on time. Depends on the country.

They probably sent it the same day they encash the new DD. Norm should 4-5 business days for the DD to reach you back

No they send you after you confirm the address, it can be before you send the new DD. And it takes different time to reach which depends on which country, which city. IF you are in main city and far place it makes a diff. so expect it before 15 days. Receipt is send after they receive the payment from bank which again is different for different banks.

Is the Canada Post strike happening? If so I am figuring it may affect the return of DDs.

there was a strike but they have been given instructions to resume Business as usual activities so posts wont be delayed

Hey Neel, I sent on the above address (5th floor one). But doesn't really matter, all the mails are delivered to OINP mail desk at Missassauga and from there they are routed to their back office operations location

That's good to know. Then the DDs will be returned as per the usual timeframe.
