I have fixed the spreadsheet AGAIN.

I please ask (on behalf of the entire group I am sure) that if you are not confident on being able to view/update the spreadsheet without altering information that is not yours please do not attempt it. Please ask someone else and I am sure they would be glad to do it for you.

Thank you

Thanks for all your efforts in keeping the spreadsheet alive!
Cheers

Yes, thank you RYIT for helping to maintain the spreadsheet! :) I too can offer my assistance to help anyone update the spreadsheet with their information. Especially since certain columns have special equations entered in them, like the "No. of days.." ones, that sometime get overridden, which we want to try to avoid. :)

My guess is that plays a large part in why your application stayed in Canada.

We are living in the UK, I am sponsoring my partner so it makes sense the VO is where the principal applicant is living - just in case an interview is required. When I first immigrated to Canada in 1997, the application went through the Lisbon office because the waiting times were 18 months for the London office and Lisbon was less than a year. I was called for interview (they didn't understand my job title!) so had to travel to Lisbon for it.

I'd guess if you're already in Canada it wouldn't make sense for your VO to be London - unless there's anyone else on here who is in Canada and has his/her VO as his/her home country?

Now I'm not 100% sure on this but BritishBob received his decision made the day before me and I think he is in the UK? I'm not sure so if BritishBob sees this maybe he can confirm it.
But I would think that's another factor they consider also. CIC abciously have a system and a way of profiling which apps stay and which get sent out overseas. Really we can only speculate and try and understand it based on the spreadsheets and informations on here

I sent our application last January, to find out that our form IMM 0008 was so outdated and Im guessing that they will probably, request the updated form. I am a Canadian Citizen by the way. And I am currently here in the Philippines having a few month vacation and I wont be back for a couple of months. Should I just mail the updated form to my home address in Canada and when my AOR arrives and the form is requested, Ill have my family member to courier mail it to CPC?

Another questions are:
How will they know that what I am sending is just a requested form?
What CPC address will I send it to?

Who else have the same situation as I do from this December thread? How are your papers going?
Please reply!

BritishBob let us know when you get yours, I'm hoping our COPR letters to arrive this coming week. The call Center agent said it could be a few weeks, but possibly within 10 days.

I certainly will Andyb2404, fingers crossed!!

Yes you are correct Andyb2404, I am currently living in the UK.

As far as I can see/have heard, the reason for keeping it in CA is mainly due to the complexity of the application.

Finally I am able to log in on ecas, still only the AOR. Waiting for CSQ from Quebec and SA, hopefully soon enough!

I received an email saying CIC got my application and the applicaiton number and the UCI number.

I need to verify if this is what AOR is ?

Now they want me to check my status using the numbers that I have got.

Would it now be possible to show this application number and try for visit visa now that they would know PR application is under process ?

regards

Yes, that should be your AOR. With that UCI number they gave you, you can check the status here https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en
For me it worked only after few days after the AOR, so you don't have to worry if you're not able to log in right away.

Not sure about the visit visa, I would need one also ;D but I don't think it's any connection between visit visa and permanent residence that we are asking.

Normally, on a visit visa you should be able to provide reasons for you coming back in your country, we obviously have all the reasons in the world to remain in Canada, but maybe it's worth giving a try, not sure.. I would also like to know if there are people that got visit visa while waiting for PR.

thanks Deedee

I applied one before applying for PR and that got rejected.

I am told now that it should be easy as I got the file number.

I am checking with other sources on the visit visa while PR is in process too.

lets do the WAIT

I have added another column to the spreadsheet. It is to the right of "Outland Visa Office". It lists what the current processing time for the indicated visa office is in months. I will update it quarterly when the website is updated.

For those with Mississauga listed there is no estimated processing time listed for Mississauga, so the spot for you is blank. I know that andyb2404 has confirmed his second stage will be processed in Mississauga, but I am not sure about the others.

p0ppet, CANANICA, kangaroduck and natodincan you all have Mississauga listed as your visa office abroad. Has this been confirmed or did you accidentally put Mississauga because that is where the first stage is being processed? If you could let me know, or update the spreadsheet yourself that would be great!

Puzzled101- You have Quebec listed but this is not where your second stage would be processed. What visa office abroad will your application be forwarded to? If you could let me know, or update the spreadsheet yourself that would be great!

esma, ic162k, alcal2014, spiram82 and ontariobound: can you please update the spreadsheet or let me know what your visa office abroad is so that I can update the spreadsheet for you.

I figured now that we are all slowly moving past the AOR/SA stage it will be helpful to know where the applications are being sent so that in the future we are not comparing our process with someone who has an 18 month or 9 month processing time so we do not get frustrated.

I got my AOR yesterday.

I disagree, from the UK spread sheet there is a pattern of the PA being located in Canada apart from a few lucky ones like yourself. Obviously without knowing everyone's individual situation we will not know for sure. To be honest I thought my application was straight forward and it went to London. (May have had to do with myself (the sponsor) living in the UK??? maybe?) Obv everyone thinks their application is straight forward but you know what I mean. Without digging deeper into everyone's situation and making other columns on a spread sheet we cannot say for sure why certain apps are staying in Canada.

Looks like everyone has AOR except 7 people. I know GTS1234 is having issues with his application because of missed forms.

Has anyone else listed received AOR or SA and forgot to update the spreadsheet or are all of you still waiting?

Hoping if you haven't received that you all receive it today!!!
