Ah. I see. Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I paid my application fee by a bank draft which was acknowledged as received and for which I was given a payment receipt number in my PER email.

No, this is not possible.

Depending of your timeline, no need to worry about that coz your visa must be issued after your new born come to world.

Thanks Tathy, my only worry is that if they ask for my medicals(God willing) in Aug then my wife cannot go for the X-ray as she will be in her 8th month. You mean to say at that time I can ask for hold on all our applications?

Would be very beneficial if you can guide me to any detail on the CIC website

Oh darn! even my DD will expire next month on 18th. I am a 5 Dec applicant and till day before yesterday there was no news at all from CIC. DD wasnt charged either. However i called CIC on Tuesday and after many failed calls an agent, a very nice girl, told me that my name is not reflecting in their system. She took my email ID and assured me of a response from CIC. And then last night i got a mail from CIC with a UCI number. Now I dont know what would this mean? The only thing I am feeling relaxed about is that at least my file is not misplaced or lost.

I happen to know that my case was transferred to Ottawa visa office,
Still waiting for the medical request :

First of all, u need to contact your VO to inform them about your baby.
Second, if your wife will be with 8 months, The Visa Office will ask u to hold until your baby birth. After that, they will send u The MR.
