I'm now on my own citizenship process, started back in may, 2013.
Since your husband doesn't need testing (I'm assuming language as well), it should go fast and smooth for you, one of those completed in 7 months.

They received it on Oct. 28 and returned me with queries on Dec. 6 (the letter of query was dated Nov. 29). So it is safe to assume they looked at my application in a month's time after they received.

Did anyone had any issues with the language proof? In my family application, they did not had any question for me as I was the primary applicatn and submitted by old IELTS certificate (they accept the expired one too). But in case of my wife, I submitted the original transcripts for her 5 year M.Sc. IT program from the recognised university in India and the transcript indicated that the medium of instruction was "English". as per the application guide, transcript is one of the valid lanaguage proof. However, they rejected on the grounds that the evidence is not acceptable.

Then when I called their customer service to explain and clarify, the agent over the phone asked me to re-submit the transcripts with an explanation letter and said, everything should be fine. She said, the officers scrutinizing the applications are not very sure these days on what to accept as lanaguage proof and thus explanation letter should help further strengthening her case. I did that and also attached the marksheets for all her 10 semesters. Hope they do not have any further questions for us on the application.

Anyone had any similar issue? Any idea if this will work?

Hello guys, i sent my application i think first week of December, i will update this post tomorrow , now i am already in bed and do not have the exact date handy.
I was reading on November 2013 post they are taking an average of almost two months to change from received by the office to "in-process" notice. So i am positively thunking we all will be ok by the end of January 2014, with God's help

I wanted to introduce my self and share with you all my experience,

Just to bring an experience to the board, i have a friend who did not send language proof and after 6 weeks he got all his documents back, asking him to take one of the approved test and send back all the paperwork again.
