Landing Interview
-----------------------
hi Seniors,

I just received an email from CIC stating that I and all dependents need to present ourselves for a landing interview at CIC Etobicoke office.

I am not sure if I am the only one who received this email.

For context, I received stamping done and received COPR during nov first week. We were planning to land on our way back from India in third week of dec.

Please help

Are you living in Canada already. If so this appears to be a new thing. They are trying to reduce the number of landing at the border by people already living in Canada. I've been advised that you should do the landing by appointment at the interview, since they may refuse to do it at the border. Border services are trying to reduce their workload.

I think Just opposite .
I believe he is not presently in Canada.
I seen few post in forum with similar situation all are not living in Canada currently.

But Not sure 100%

Hello Friends,

Finally, I have received the passport request on 17th Nov. :)
Below are my timelines:
Appl. Sent: 12 Dec 2013
Appl. Rec: 17 Dec 2013
AOR: 5 Feb 2014
Medical: 3 July 2014
Rprf paid: 3 July 2014
Medical Rec: 28 July 2014
Passport Request: 17 Nov 2014.

My family is in India for vacation and I am also going to India on 3rd Dec and will return on 12 Jan with my family.
I have to send my and family passports (together) for visa stamping within 30 days, but I will not able to send it.

Is it possible to change the Visa office from Ottawa to New Delhi within this 30 days timeline by sending email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

Please provide some pointers.

Regards,
PKS_SKS

Congrats.. What is your ecas status?

Hello, I would to like ask an advice you. My application was received November 2013 and my ecas status is still application received. I am waiting for PPR and having a flight to my home country by end of Dec for a one month vacation.. my medical will expire in January. I am currently in Canada. My worry is what if my PPR come when I am in my home country, would it give a problem to my application or can I send my passport to the nearest visa? Is there anyone with the same situation experienced?

guys, please give your advice.

Thank you :( :(

Sorry you cant send to nearest visa office yourself ..need to wait for them to confirm ..you need to write to them with delhi address and asking for stamping there..they will take 2 to 3 weeks to respond. ..but will give 30 more days to hand over to delhi consulate...then take 2 weeks for Copr

Can someone tell me if they're in same boat as me.

I applied in December 2013

medical done - july
RPRF paid - july

CIC requested for Tax papers end of July, which I emailed them first week of August. Since then I have not heard anything back from CIC.

Me the same situation. I'm still waiting for the PPR now. I paid RPRF at end of September. Medical done around Early August.

Congratulations!!! :) :)

Hi All,

I completed my landing on Nov 18 2014 @ Rainbow Bridge at 11.45pm. :) :) :) :) :) 8)

I walked across bridge ,I was lucky that no one was in line ,and told them I am here for flag-poling and the lady was polite and did the process in less than 2 mins

Now I walked back to Canadian side ,I was the only one again so officer there on counter gave yellow slip and guided me to building on right side of the counter.

I gave my passport and COPR at the counter ,lady Officer asked me for address proof to send my PR card.

She asked me to wait, then in less than 2 mins she called me again and told me PR obligations.

She told me it will take 3 weeks to get my PR card..

Total process took me less than 5 mins.

Thanks for the support guys.

Good Luck to Everyone.

Hi

Not everyone is getting this request, we had our COPR 3 weeks ago and landed at the border last week.

We are in Canada so if this was the process for all people in Canada we would have seen it.

Agreed many people are getting the request but not all.

Thx
