Hey guys I received my passport request late on Monday and sent it in Thursday morning. How long does it take for them to send it back to me? Could it be months?

Using this forum the first time, so dunno if it has been asked before.

Spouse and myself are currently on work permits; we applied for CEC and
appl received 27/12/13
med's done 29/8/14
rprf requested and paid 6/11/14
until today the status of the application was set as "Application received" despite all the above
just today it changed to "In Process", and says "We Started processing your Application on 13/11/14"

Does this mean the end of the process is near? can anyone please enlighten me as to what the next steps would be and the anticipated timeline?

I'd like to make some major financial decisions and it'd be nice to know! Thx!

Since they restart requesting passports, CIC is being very efficient. My passport took 10 days to come back (and many others are taking the same time). Good luck

Next steps would be :
1. PPR with application status turning to "Decision Made" around that time.
2. Assuming you are in Canada, you have to send your passports to CPC Ottawa. They will issue PR Visa & COPR (They usually take 2-3 weeks to stamp & dispatch it back to the applicant)
3. You have to perform landing at any port of Entry in Canada or you could do it via appointment at CIC office at Ottawa.
4. After landing, you get your PR card in 4-6 weeks on the address specified by you.

5. Enjoy your life as a Permanent Resident of Canada ;D

Question about documentation needed while landing.

hi, I have the COPR and passports stamped with PR visa.

What all documents do i need while landing? I would ask them to ship PR cards to a different address from what's in the ECAS?

Whats good for address proof?

any coins/currency needed etc?

I will be landing while coming back via air at Pearson in a few weeks from now.

CIC requested for Tax papers end of July, which I emailed them first week of August. Since then I have not heard anything back from CIC.

Return Tracker Activated: November 17th (18:24)
Expected Delivery: November November 19th (Because I believe Canada Post's mail leaves at 5pm, otherwise it could've been next day delivery)

I just received an email from CIC stating that I and all dependents need to present ourselves for a landing interview at CIC Etobicoke office.

I am not sure if I am the only one who received this email.

For context, I received stamping done and received COPR during nov first week. We were planning to land on our way back from India in third week of dec.

Please help
