Thank you for the response. But I am working in Montreal, Canada. So should I mention Ottawa or Vegreville? I am confused.

I believe you have to choose CPP-O (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/index.asp)

The case processing pilot office in Ottawa (CPP-O) processes:

visitor visa (temporary resident visa) applications from within Canada for applicants with valid status (students or temporary foreign workers only)
permanent resident visa applications from the United States and Canada after they have been pre-screened by CPC-M or CIO-S

The case processing centre in Vegreville processes:

extensions for temporary resident status and temporary resident permits
work and study permits
applications for permanent residence from protected persons and convention refugees in Canada
applications for permanent residence for live-in caregivers
loans for the right of permanent residence fee

Whether the application rejected if it is mentioned as CPC-V rather than CPC-O?

VO will be the only one to tell.
I am sure they will forward it to the correct office as it will go to NS anyway for pre-screening.

thank you for giving me some hope. Hope they do....

If you are living in Canada and USA, I am sure you have to fill up CPC-O.

I got my work permit this October and my name was spelled incorrectly over it(Singh was spelled as Sngh), i have sent it back to Ottawa to get it fixed. Just want to know whether i can still apply for CEC with this work permit or do i need to wait till the right one comes.

Hi Preet, It would be good if things are clear rather than ambiguous and unclear.

My application for fixing my work permit was recieved by Ottawa office on 2 Dec but i havent got any email or something from them yet. I am little worried that it may take tooo long.

Hope it should be fast after the vacations as its just the change in name. It would be good if you send in your application with the correct name.

Thanks Jimkal for your reply.
I have few more questions:
In the Travel information form do I need to add my this visit to Canada also as i never been to my country since i landed here. Never been to any other country before.
In schedule-8 economic class-CEC, do i need to mention my old job i was on before current job as it is now not eligible under CEC. i worked for 3 months over ther.
They also ask for orignal IELTS certificate
How to get a NOA and also i will get T4 only at end of this month or in Jan
Do i need to do Notory from Canadian lawyer on my birth certificate

-its better you mention all international visits other than your country of origin.
-Schedule-8 only asks your current experience in Canada and not your experience outside.
-Yes, you should submit your Original IELTS
-As you will have to wait until your name is changed and by then you will receive your T4. At this stage submit only your T4 as you will receive your NOA sometime in Julne/July after filing your retuns. Then you can resend your NOA.
-As you are in Canada now, you should get the notarized done here.

I really appreciate your help.
I was working in Canada only before this job but that is not elligible for CEC now and i only worked there for 3 months so just want to know whether i should add it in schedule - 8 or not.
Also do i need to send my study certificates also with background declaration?

Hi Preet_25, download the checklist here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/cec.asp
It will tell you exactly what you need to fill and submit.
Good Luck!
