Landed at Prescott Bridge today.
Easy drive from Ottawa.
Office did not allow landing without crossing US border and getting Administrative refusal.
So finally crossed border got the refusal and then came back completed landing.

Officer asked me for current status document and bank statement.

So Bank statement or pay slip is must since i asked the officer.
I also asked him why should we go to US and get refusal why don't you land us directly after taking U-Turn?
He told we need some proof of you exiting Canada so we can refuse you entry if we dont find things in Order.

So if you are landing at Prescott bridge.
1. Be prepare that U-Turn might be refused and you have to go to US side and get refusal
2. Carry you current status document and Bank statement/payslip

Officer was not very polite on Canadian and did not congratulate. Just said your PR card will either come to your residence or you may need to collect it from CPP Ottawa
Also told me to apply for new SIN.

Overall it was faster than what i expected

Congrats !

Hi,

I have received letter to submit medical on October end and I got appointment for 2nd week of nov for medical. Doctor mentioned they take 3 weeks to publish reports to CIC. It means, hopefully my November end, CIC will receive reports.

Can anyone tell after receiving reports, what are the next steps and how much time CIC takes to give PR.

Congrats on the medical request!

You should soon receive another email from CIC to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee 490$ (RPRF) and send bio data (Height and Eye color). If you already paid this fee, you may not get this email.

After you've completed medical exam and paid RPRF, you should get passport request for visa issuance.

May I ask which doctor did you book an appointment with? 3 weeks is a bit long time to upload the medical results. Most doctors do it within 2 weeks time.

Thanks. Yes I have already received mail for Biodata and fee. And I have replied for the same. I already paid RPRF fees while applying for PR so I have sent the receipt now.

Both doctors in Mississauga were on vacation till last week of Nov so I took appointment from Etobicoke.

Now what are next steps.

Just complete medicals and wait for passport request :)

Try doctors in Toronto - you might be able to get an appointment earlier, within this weekend.

Can we add one more column called medicals done date?

Thanks,

Folks who got rprf/ppr, is your visa officer JP5777 or EM5578 ?

Visa officer code is usually in the signature of the email.

Thanks.

My RPRF officer was EM5578, received October 21.

-anagram (still waiting for COPR!)

May I know when your ecas changed to medical received?

Once decision is made, I don't think there is any other steps involved with respect to security and criminality.

Don't know why it is taking time for them to send you CoPR.

Hi! Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question - can the bank statement be just printed out from the website or is it something you request at the bank?
Also what if we are unemployed while we land?
