Hi Guys,

Atleast you guys have got Medical request .. here I am with my file under review since October 2013 and havent even got any kind of request from CIC.

I applied December 6,2012

Don't worry & hope for the best. My application got rejected once! Hopefully won't be the case for you. But even if it does, you can apply again like what I did :)

Do you mind sharing why it was rejected? Just curious to know..

The officer said in the email that my experience was considered as self-employed rather than an employee. I worked for a company as a web developer but I was responsible to file my tax return myself. So I guess that is why I was considered a self-employed person..

you mean you didn't file tax return ?? or you have to file it on your own ?

I did not have a T4 provided by the company and had to file my tax on my own.

ok. That make sense because 2 imp documents proving your employment was not available with you. Thanks :)

waster....what your GCMS notes says and what do you feel about your letter? I would say if you feel your letter is not sufficient and dont wait up and apply for provincial nominee.....

Hello Hamad , I feel the updated letter i sent was pretty good this is what I sent for NOC 2283
As a Survey QA Tester, xxxx was responsible for:
 Developing and documenting software testing plans
 Executing, analyzing, and documenting results of software application tests
 Developing and implementing software and information system testing policies, procedures and scripts.
 Testing through completed survey programs and finding and identifying any errors or mistakes
 Creating detailed logs identifying any errors, clarifications and concerns.
 Communicating error logs with Programmers to effectively eliminate any inaccuracies
 Validating quota screens
 Validating skip logics through marginal checks

my old letter only had the last 4 of the above mentioned duties.... but i think this one is pretty sufficient...

its just a matter of the officer looking at my file :( What do you think >?

I landed this week.

How did you ask for the PPR? What did you write in your email to them?

Well my ECAS status showed 'Decision Made' on Nov. 22nd and this is the email I sent them (as proposed by wessless on this forum....thanks wessless ;D) on Jan. 22nd;
"I applied for permanent residence under Canadian experience class on _______. My ECAS status says ‘Decision Made’ since _______ and that I will be contacted regarding the same. I have not received any further correspondence from CIC yet. I was wondering if I missed an email or should I just wait until further contacted by the office."
And they replied back with the PPR. So I would say don't wait for 2 months to contact them, like I did, if your ECAS status says 'Decision Made'. Hope this helps. :)
